We had a quick 10 questions chat with tattoo artist Jade Chung of Hong Kong UnderGround Tattoo models. Photographed by James Juranke.

Who was your role model as a child?

I never once had a role model, or some person I wanted to be like. I think the closest thing to a role model for me is the ocean, trees and the air.

What did your parent first think of you being a model and where they
supportive?

My mother was a model so they think it is alright but they wanted me to have a degree, but instead I dropped out of university and continued to be tattoo artist and model.

What do you expect from life?

To evolve, to find an answer.

How would you make this world a better place?

I don’t have any expectation on myself to make the world ‘a better place’.

How important are friends for you?

My friends are important to me.

Favorite actor?

N/A

Favorite book?

The Alchemist – Paulo Coelho

Favorite band?

Your most important tattoo?

They are all important to me, it is all one big project.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

At centre stage.
