"1. My middle name is Ra like the ancient Egyptian sun god because my Dad named me after his favourite jazz musician, Sun Ra. 2. The first song I ever fell in love with was Dolly Parton’s Jolene, which I used to listen to on repeat on my Dad’s iPod as a child. 3. I was obsessed with horses when I was younger, and used to help out at the local stables until I got too embarrassed when I grew up. Now I’m unashamed of how magical and beautiful I find them." Who is someone you admire and why? “The French film director Agnès Varda – she’s one of the oldest living film directors and is still making films aged 90, unlike most of her male contemporaries. She made what is often considered the first French new wave film in the 1950s, and she always inspires me to pursue filmmaking.” What are you interested in that most people haven’t heard of? “I’m currently writing my dissertation on 1970s French and Czech fantasy cinema, so have become an expert in the weird surrealist horror films of this era.” Where: TROY Agency (London – mother agency) The Claw (Paris)
