Lee, who was born and raised in Nerrandera, NSW, and now based in New York, has starred in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, and will feature in the David Jones’ “Art of Living” season AW19 launch at Hobart’s Museum of New and Old Art (MONA) on Tuesday night. “I’m very fortunate to come home and enjoy the best of both worlds,” Lee, pictured outside MONA, told Confidential. “It keeps me grounded ... and it reminds me that I still am a country girl. I’m very true to myself, and I’m the same person I’ve always been. Very normal,” Lee said, laughing. “The morals that my mum and dad, and family, instilled in me, I hold them very close, and that still remains. “Growing up in Nerrandera, they instilled in my brother and me, a very strong work ethic, knowing what’s important, doing the best you can, and being a good person.” To Lee, the “art of living” means acknowledging every moment and opportunity. “Everyday we have an opportunity to really enjoy our lives and the fact that we’re here,” she said. “We lead such busy lives, at a fast pace, and everything happens at a million miles an hour. “But we should take a moment everyday … and remember the things that make lives amazing. It’s about embracing all aspects of our lives.” Meanwhile, Lee is relishing the thought of walking inside the boundary-pushing MONA alongside Jessica Gomes, Gemma Ward and Cameron Robbie. “It’s one of the most spectacular contemporary museums in the world ... and a wonderful backdrop.
