Ricky Martin turned out to be big winner at 2011 GLAAD Media Awards held at New York Marriott Marquis in NYC on Saturday, March 19. 39-year-old singer won the Vito Russo Award at The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation ceremony bestowed on high-profile members of the LGBT community for contributions in combating homophobia.

“I’m walking today with my head up high, and to be here? To be receiving an award? I’ve only started,” he shared.
