This issue also has 2 pages on the new men's magazines (Loaded, Maxim, FHM, etc.); 4 pages on Playboy photographer Arny Freytag; 2 pages on glamour photographer Herve Lewis; 3 pages on A.F. Van Order; and 2 pages on a rarely-seen photo of Babe Ruth's farewell.

Special issue on the September 11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center n New York. It has a 17-page section of photography and notes from photographers who were on the scene of the attacks. It also has the photos taken recovered from the camera of Bill Biggart, a professional photographer who was killed when the second tower collapsed.

This special issue called "Secrets of the Masters" has some of the lesser-known works of photography's greatest masters. Photographers include Irving Penn, Annie Leibovitz, Regan Cameron, Neil Leifer, Sebastiao Salgado. There are two-full page face portraits of Madonna by Cameron, including the cover, which is reproduced inside without the blurbs. Another nice photo is the one of Julia Roberts (see sample), in a rare unsmiling shot by Brigitte Lacombe. Other subjects include John F. Kennedy, Muhammad Ali, Jayne Mansfield. Copies marked (!) also include a 140-page supplement, "Popular Photography Digital Imaging Guide".
