The Getaway Plan was an Australian alternative rock band from Melbourne, Victoria, formed in 2004. The band comprised vocalist and guitarist Matthew Wright, guitarist Clint Splattering, bassist Dave Anderson and drummer Aaron Barnett. Their debut release was a demo in 2004. In 2006 the band signed to Boomtown Records and made their debut label release, an EP titled Hold Conversation. The Getaway Plan found commercial success in Australia upon the release of their debut studio album Other Voices, Other Rooms in 2008. The album peaked at number one on the AIR Charts and number 14 on the ARIA Albums Chart. The band announced their breakup in February 2009.
