Kaka's Granny angry at the ref who sent him off at the WC

Kaka says even his grandmother had harsh words for the referee who gave him a red card in the match against Ivory Coast.

He adds that from now on he will be more careful with the way he acts to avoid problems with the "severe" refereeing of the World Cup.

Kaka says he didn't deserve being sent off against the Ivorians and is taking the incident as a lesson for the next matches. He has to "police himself" on the field to avoid getting into a difficult situation with the referees.

Kaka says he "can't repeat" what his grandmother Vera called the referee of Sunday's match. He will miss the third group-stage game, against Portugal.

I will be the best in the world again - Kaka

Kaka has pledged to once again be the best player in the world, saying the doctor who operated on his knee exaggerated the seriousness of his injury.

After a routine pre-season check by Madrid doctors discovered a problem, Dr. Marc Martens performed arthroscopic surgery on Kaka's left knee on Aug. 5 then claimed the player put his career in jeopardy by playing at the World Cup.

But Kaka denied that in an interview published by Spanish newspaper Marca on Friday.

"Martens is a great professional but he raised the alarm, he exaggerated a lot," said Kaka.

Martens said Kaka was in unbearable pain during Brazil's quarter-final loss to the Netherlands in the World Cup.

Kaka said he played in pain before that game.

"I played in pain in a lot of games, not just with the national team, but also with Real Madrid," he said. "And not just my knee, but other parts of my body, too."

After a 65 million euro (C$86 million) move from AC Milan, Kaka had a disappointing first year at Real Madrid last season, when he was hampered by a groin injury. The groin problem aggravated the knee injury, he said.

He said he got through the pressure caused by the injury with the help of "faith, family and friends," and he expects to return to action in four months.

"I will be the best in the world again. Today it's difficult to say this, but I think I'm going to be successful with Real Madrid," he said. "I had the operation to be No. 1 again."

Inter Arrange Real Madrid Talks For Kaka - Report

Inter will continue to pursue Kaka, according to reports, despite opposition from Massimo Moratti.

Inter are treating the idea of signing Kaka with increased leverage, according to Il Corriere dello Sport, despite president Massimo Moratti giving reports short shrift on Wednesday.

Moratti said: "Kaka to Inter is a nice idea, but not ours," as he kept the speculation at arm's length.

However, it hasn't stopped Corriere from publishing a new report which claims the Nerazzurri have a meeting with Real Madrid chiefs on November 3 to give the transfer primacy.

Ideas are expected to be exchanged and Inter's proviso will be an initial loan deal with the option to buy the Brazilian permanently - a similar move to Milan's Zlatan Ibrahimovic transfer.

Inter will then offer Real Madrid around €24 million for the permanent transfer - far from the €65m Madrid paid Milan last year.

However, the Italians face competition from Carlo Ancelotti who is keen on having Kaka at his disposal for Chelsea.

Real Madrid's Injured Star Kaka: I'm Dying To Play Again

Kaka is motivated to return as soon as possible....

A month after Real Madrid's Brazilian ace Kaka went under the knife, the playmaker has spoken of his desire to get back out on the pitch in a Los Blancos shirt. Kaka has been working hard with his physio and has revealed his knee is feeling better.

"I can't wait to play again, it is very difficult just to watch games," Kaka told Marca.

However the 28-year-old has been warned to be cautious and motivate himself for each and every session with his doctors. He is currently undergoing a four-day week.

"I talked to the doctors and asked them how long it will be before I can play again. They said it depends very much on the evolution and myself. I am doing everything in my power to play again and do well," said the determined samba star.
