Kaka slams Real rumours

Milan star Kaka has again hit back at claims he wants to join Real Madrid and pledged his future to the Rossoneri.

Last season's Champions League top scorer has often been paired with Real Madrid over the last year and admitted that he did meet Merengues officials, although he never asked to move.

“I never asked for Milan to rescind my contract. It is true that I spoke with the Spanish club, but Milan were immediately informed of that fact,” said Kaka in a press conference at Milanello.

“President Silvio Berlusconi said he sees me as a symbol of Milan? I hope to become a symbol of this team in the future. I am contracted until 2011 and I want to honour my agreement.”

Kaka insists that he never even considered the idea of leaving the San Siro, despite the impressive financial offer coming from Los Blancos.

“I never closed the door on Real Madrid because that door was never open in the first place,” argued the Brazilian.

“The issue has always been between Milan and Real Madrid. I learned from a friend of mine a while ago that money is not the only thing that matters,” concluded the Rossonero.

Friendly: AC Milan 4:0 Lecco - match report

Ronaldo and Kaka were on target in Milan’s first friendly of the summer, a comfortable 4-0 win over Lecco.

The Rossoneri are the last Serie A side to get their pre-season training started and Il Fenomeno scored their opening goal of the 2007-08 campaign.

Clarence Seedorf’s through ball allowed Ronaldo to spring the offside trap and beat the goalkeeper with a precise right-foot finish.

Seedorf was in fine form and also set up the second for Kaka before completing the scoring himself.

Cristian Brocchi got in on the action for the third, tapping in the rebound from Kaka’s parried effort.

There was a definite Selecao feel to the side, as Brazilians Marcos Cafu, Serginho, Kaka and Ronaldo combined brilliantly.

In the second half Seedorf hit the upright and Massimo Oddo also appeared to be in good form with some promising crosses.

“This team knows itself so well by now. We played with a good tempo and some fine football,” commented Carlo Ancelotti.

“I liked the style of the goals too. It has been a useful week. Kaka and Ronaldo have such quality that you can see it even though they are tired from the lack of match fitness.”

Real make new Kaka bid

Reports in the Spanish Press suggest that Real Madrid are ready to offer Milan £50m plus Julio Baptista and Antonio Cassano for Kaka.

The Brazilian has been repeatedly paired with the Merengues over the past year, after President Ramon Calderon promised he would sign the player during his election campaign last summer.

Milan have always denied that they intend to let the trequartista leave, suggesting instead that he would soon be offered an extension to his current contract, which expires in 2011.

Spanish newspaper Marca claimed today that Rossoneri Vice-President Adriano Galliani and Real sporting director Predrag Mijatovic met in Forte dei Marmi last weekend where a new bid was made.

According to the Spanish newspaper, Los Blancos have prepared a £50m bid, plus Milan target Baptista and Cassano, who Real are desperately trying to offload this summer.

The Brazilian midfielder, who is valued at £12m and will gain EU citizenship today, is a target for the Rossoneri, who have yet to finalise a major signing during this year’s transfer market.

However, Milan’s position does not seem likely to change as Kaka has repeatedly been indicated as one of the symbols of the San Siro outfit.

RUI COSTA: "Kaká is extraordinary"

MILAN - The Uefa.com magazine of this week features an interview to Manuel Rui Costa entitled "Pass master". The ex Rossonero had words of praise for Kaká: "He's my successor at Milan. POSITIVE RESPONSES

7/30/2007

The first official match of 2007/2008 for the Rossoneri gave positive responses. For Ricky Kaká "It's always nice to score and win in the first game" - THE WORDS OF ODDO, KAKÁ AND BROCCHI -

MILAN - As follows are the declarations of Massimo Oddo, Ricardo Kaká, and Cristian Brocchi to Milan Channel's microphones following the first friendly of the season, which saw Milan beat Lecco 4-0:

MASSIMO ODDO: It was a good Milan: "Considering that it was the first match, against a team that showed it was well organised, it was not easy but we played a good match, with some good movement, we found some good solutions: a good start." Last year against Lecco it finished 2-0 for the Rossoneri. This time Milan scored four goals... "Let's hope it means we'll win twice as many trophies...". Also from an athletic point of view the team seemed to be doing well: "We reacted well to this start of the preparation, we thought we would be more tired instead we all ran a lot. We are on the right track."

RICARDO KAKÁ: Compliments for the goal: "It's always nice to score, it's good to have won this first match of the season: it's important." Two goals last year against Lecco, this year the goals have doubled: "Yes, let's hope the trophies will double as well. Last year I didn't play, this year I was here, I feel very good: it's important to begin the season playing, taking part in all the trainings." Kaká's celebration was more intense than usual for a friendly: "For me there are no friendlies, I try to play every game with the right motivation, I try to do my best always, even if the games is only a friendly." The rhythm seems to be quite good already: "For the first week we are doing well. I have to improve many things still: strength, shots on goal, technique." It's nice to play for Milan: "This is my fifth season: I am very happy."

CRISTIAN BROCCHI: "This first test was important. It was important to play it with intensity in order to prepare for our first official match. Against Lecco it was the first of a number of steps we need to make in order to get our first trophy. We are a strong group, we showed it last year, perhaps the most difficult year. We are all still here and with the will to win."

Friendly: AC Milan 0:0 (3:4 after penalties) PSV - match report

Milan lost to PSV Eindhoven on a penalty shoot-out after the opening Moscow Tournament match ended goalless.

Yoann Gourcuff and Clarence Seedorf made the decisive errors from the spot for a team that started without Ronaldo, Pippo Inzaghi or Alberto Gilardino.

Andrea Pirlo had the best scoring opportunity of the game, but his long-range effort cracked against the upright after 41 minutes.

Youth team striker Willy Aubameyang failed to break through the PSV back line and despite many half-time substitutions, neither side could make an impact.

The Dutch outfit seemed content with the draw and after Kaka, Serginho and Pirlo converted their penalties, Milan lost 4-3 in the shoot-out.

Nelson Dida managed to save one PSV effort from Simons, but it was not enough as Gourcuff’s was parried and Seedorf hit the bar.

This was only the Rossoneri’s second friendly of the campaign following the 4-0 win over Lecco earlier this week.

The other clubs taking part in the Moscow Tournament are Lokomotiv and Real Madrid.

Milan: Dida; Oddo (Cafu 46), Nesta (Simic 63), Kaladze, Jankulovski (Serginho 46); Gattuso (Brocchi 63), Pirlo, Ambrosini; Seedorf, Kakà; Aubameyang (Gourcuff 46)

Ancelotti: Kaka won't leave

Milan Coach Carlo Ancelotti has once again insisted that the San Siro outfit will not be selling Kaka to Real Madrid.

The Brazilian has been linked with a summer switch to the Spanish champions, but the Rossoneri have stated that he is not for sale and will stay in Italy at least until the end of his contract in 2011.

“There are no negotiations underway and there never will be,” said Ancelotti. “It is impossible for him to join Real Madrid, he is a symbol for us.

“He has a long contract and I am sure he will honour it,” added the tactician, whose men will face Real, Lokomotiv Moscow and PSV Eindhoven in the Russian Railways Cup in Moscow this weekend.

Kaka added a funny twist to the transfer speculation when he, along with teammate Cafu, accidentally got on the Madrid team coach.

He soon rectified the mistake, but it was enough for the Spanish Press to report that the player already feels part of Los Blancos.

Meanwhile, Real President Ramon Calderon has announced that Kaka could only join his club if he asks Milan for a transfer.

”Kaka will come if he asks his club to leave. He knows that we have been after him for two years and we know that he and his family would love to join us one day.”
