Kaka Not For Sale, Say Milan

AC Milan have warned interested parties they have no intention of letting Brazilian playmaker Kaka leave the club.

The 25-year-old has been a target for Real Madrid since last summer, and executives from the Spanish club met Bosco Leite, Kaka's father, earlier this week, increasing speculation he could play at the Bernabeu next season.

However, the Rossoneri are adamant they will not let the player move away from the San Siro.

Milan's vice-president Adriano Galliani said: "Kaka will not be transferred.

"We know everything about that meeting [between Madrid and Leite] because Kaka's father has promptly informed us of it."

The Brazil star player has been prolific for Milan this season, helping his team win the Champions League and finishing as top scorer in the competition.

AC Milan: Kaka going nowhere

Milan have confirmed that Real Madrid did hold talks with Kaka’s entourage this week – but again underlined that he’s not for sale!

Real officials met with the player’s father and representative on Tuesday to discuss a £53m transfer which fuelled speculation that a move could be on the horizon.

However, the European champions have assured fans that the Spanish giants will not be netting the Brazilian.

“We were informed of the meeting by Kaka’s father and [agent] Gaetano Paolillo, but we confirm that he is untransferable,” said Vice-President Adriano Galliani to the club’s website.

“Kaka is certainly not for sale, but the notable financial offer is possible because of the different fiscal system in Spain which favours the Liga clubs.

“In practice, if an Italian and a Spanish side make the same offer, in Italy only 50 per cent ends up in the player’s pocket, while in Spain his net pay amounts to 75 per cent of the total amount.”

Galliani had already voiced his concern that Italian clubs would find it hard to compete with their Spanish counterparts for such reasons.

“If things continue this way I fear that in a few years’ time Italian football will not be able to keep pace with the top clubs in Europe,” he noted in the autumn.

Kaka: Forget me, Real!

Kaka has put a stop to those Real Madrid reports that come out of Spain every day. “Milan are my priority.”

The Brazilian has been named as a transfer target for the past two years and newspapers ‘Marca’ and ‘As’ have repeatedly claimed he asked the Rossoneri to be released.

“Milan are my priority,” he declared in ‘Diario de Hoje’ in his homeland.

“I have not planned a move to Real Madrid, nor have I been contacted by any directors. My only plan is to finish my holiday so I can get back to representing Milan.”

Kaka could not have been clearer, but this is still unlikely to end the reports emanating from the Spanish Press every day.

During the interview he also praised Internacional’s Alexandre Pato as the top young Brazilian player of the moment.

Under-20 World Cup starlet Pato is a known target for the Rossoneri and his agent has flown into Italy for negotiations this week.

Kakà For €104m, The Daftest Yet?

Real Madrid are preparing to offer a deal worth €104m to join them from AC Milan next summer, according to an outlandish report in Italy.

After missing out the Brazilian star this summer, the story states that los Merengues will put forward a proposal that the player could not refuse.

An eight-year contract will be laid on the table by Madrid that will see Kaká earn €13m-per-year for eight seasons at the Bernabéu.

If such an outrageous bid is made then it will be the most expensive transfer in football history.

This year has seen some far-fetched reports stretch the imagination, but by predicting events in 12 months time appears to be a new angle.

Madrid president, Ramón Calderón, included Kaká in his election campaign last year as one of three players he would sign, but he has yet to deliver.

Milan have dug their heels in and refused to even talk about the transfer, leaving the Spanish champions without a star signing so far this summer.

While an approach for Cesc Fàbregas fell flat, the link to FC Barcelona's Andrés Iniesta was denied by both the Blaugrana and Madrid.

So, the question now has to be; do you believe that there is any truth in this or is it the most ridiculous transfer story of the summer so far?

Pele: Kaka's home is San Siro

Brazil legend Pele believes Kaka is better off at Milan than Real Madrid and invites Pippo Inzaghi to join Santos!

The Merengues have a new Coach, but continue to claim that Kaka will be wearing their jersey either this season or the next.

Now he has received advice from the ultimate hero for all Brazilian football players – O Rey himself.

“I played for 20 years at Santos and was always faithful even if I received lucrative offers from Real Madrid and Juventus,” he told the ‘Gazzetta dello Sport.’

“I chose to stay where I had grown up, become a great, where the people loved me and I was happy. Money is not everything. That is a cliché, but it’s true.

“I don’t want to tell Kaka how he should behave, but just to look inside himself. He seems happy at Milan, so why should he change?”

The Rossoneri have a Selecao feel to them with Kaka, Ronaldo, Nelson Dida, Marcos Cafu and Serginho in their ranks.

They begin pre-season training on Monday and both Kaka and Ronaldo flew into Malpensa Airport this morning.

“If Ronaldo is physically fit, I really think he can be Number One in the world again,” continued Pele.

“He has to train consistently and it looks as if he has found the right atmosphere and motivation at Milan to be great once more. I think Ronaldo’s presence is very useful for the club and for Kaka.”

With President Silvio Berlusconi reportedly prepared to pay Ronaldinho’s £84m buy-out clause and Under-20 sensation Alexandre Pato close to a deal, there could be more Brazilians on their way.

“Pato is a good player, but not yet a champion. I think it is best to wait a little before bringing him to Europe. Look at Robinho and how long he took to show his quality for Real, because he was still a little green. It’s too early to say what player Pato will become. He has potential, though.”

Pele revealed he is a big fan of Milan’s homegrown contingent, above all Champions League Final hero SuperPippo.

“I don’t know if Milan really need a striker. They have Inzaghi, who is incredible! I thought it would be fantastic if I could bring Pippo to Santos. With him at the centre of the attack, we’d win five titles on the trot.

“There are no defenders able to mark him, not just in Brazil, as he always seems to score. Think about it and let me know!”

KAKA' IS OUR SYMBOL

The President Silvio Berlusconi, before posing for the ritual photos of the days from the Rossoneri’s training camp, spoke with Milan Channel. The President wanted this way to outline yet again what is the strategy of the club for the season that is starting:

“We’re ready once again to take forward this splendid adventure which has been going on for twenty years. Milan wants to give its fans what it naturally expects from a European Champion team. Naturally, we shall try to obtain great results by expressing the best football, winning and convincing while respecting our opponents. On the pitch we shall not only prove our technical qualities but also our morale ones. The objective is once again that of trying to be stronger than jealousy, injustice and bad luck.”

The President then also answered questions relative to the market, trying to clear things out:

“First of all we re-start with an extra Ronaldo and he is a great champion. At the moment we have not made any purchase because we believe that the accessibly players on the market are equal or even inferior to the ones we already have in the squad. If there will be a purchase, it will have to be Milan worthy purchase. We have two observed players, I hope that one of them can help us to improve our squad, therefore we shall see how the situation evolves.”

Finally, for Silvio Berlusconi there is no Kaka case:

“That of Kaka is really a stupid story. The player has never wanted to leave. What has been reported by the newspapers is not reality, it was all created to sell more newspapers.”

Then the President Silvio Berlusconi made some declarations to the journalists present at the press conference on the current main issues:

Shevchenko: “I’m very tied to Sheva and I have always expressed my approval for his possible return. However, right now we don’t feel able to make any offer which can please Chelsea. There are insurmountable obstacles tied to the player’s value.”

Pato: “He’s a player we are following and we consider him of great value. Even though he is only 17 years old, we believe that we can invest in the player, like we did for example for Gourcuff who in France is considered the only real heir to Zidane. If we decide to buy Pato right now, his arrival would exclude any other arrival, in fact we don’t want to create too much dualism considering we already have a big squad in my opinion.”

World Club Cup: “It’s certainly a fundamental objective, all of the continents will watch us and the final will be a great stage.”

Champions League: “Winning the Champions League is always very difficult. All the European teams have strengthened themselves, but we also know that the purchases not always lead to victories. When we were negotiating the purchases for hypothetical substitutes of Gattuso, Pirlo or Seedorf for example, we did not find on the market any valid or superior alternative to them.”

The Kaka case: “There has never existed the possibility that Kaka leaves Milan. Kaka is a player symbol of Milan and we hope that he can finish his career at Milan. In any case, no gentleman can come to the President of Milan, Silvio Berlusconi, and say that he wants to take Kaka away because they offer him more.”

The Suazo affair: “I appreciated the coherence and the choice of Suazo. The player was offered to us without we knowing of his words in favour of Inter. When I learnt about this I did not even try to convince the player and after 30 seconds we retreated from the negotiation.”
