She has appeared in X2: X-Men United (uncredited), and played Margaret Elliot in Desolation Sound and Bonnie McHale in Mem-o-re. She also played Laura in the Lifetime movie For the Love of a Child. She won a Young Artists Award for that role.In addition, Hirst had a recurring role as the child-like vampire Charlotte on Spike TV's Blade: The Series.She also had a supporting guest role in Smallville's "Fragile" and appears briefly in Battlestar Galactica: Razor.
