FRANCE DOUBLE BLOW

France will be without injured duo Lionel Beauxis and Maxime Mermoz for Friday's crunch Six Nations game against Wales.

Fly-half Beauxis has failed to recover from a hip injury and centre Mermoz has suffered a tear in his right quad.

Head coach Marc Lievremont has called up 22-year-old Montpellier number ten Francois Trinh-Duc and uncapped 20-year-old Mathieu Bastareaud as a result.

"They will be replaced by Francois Trinh-Duc and uncapped 20-year-old Mathieu Bastareaud," media officer Lionel Rossigneux confirmed.

"Beauxis has been ruled out because he is still suffering from the blow on the hip bone he received during a French championship game between his Stade Francais club and Toulon on Friday evening.

"Mermoz had a scan today which revealed a tear in the quadriceps of his right leg."

I'm sorry for Maxime but FINALLY Mathieu has been selected for France ;) hope he does a good job becuase his a future star of French rugby.
