Bulk Image Download

Featured Replies

Does anyone have any recommendations for how to bulk download all images from a site? E.g. yandy.com or shein.com.

I've been using ImageAssist extension, this works reasonably well but feel like their might be more efficient options out there.

Thank you!

Yeah, there's a really good program called - wait for it - Bulk Image Downloader. Antibody Software. I've got it to download 100 pages of pics at a time and it could probably go bigger than that. There's a Chrome extension if you use it. This is the best piece of software for your job.

I actually started writing a FAQ on the whole image collecting process, including site ripping techniques. I'll try to finish it when I get some spare time, but I would welcome contributions from other people (and would attribute you in the FAQ).

It would be a long FAQ because there is no one program or extension that works for everything and every situation. And there are tricksI still don't know about because I am not a programmer or scripter.

Recently, I wanted to download all the brands from an online casino website: https://lemon-casino-pl.net.pl/. It offers some pretty interesting bonuses.

Thank you!

Building on what Tathagata said about there being no "one size fits all" solution, I’ve found that for sites with infinite scrolling or lazy loading (like Shein), browser extensions often struggle because they only see what’s currently rendered on the screen.

If you want to step up from ImageAssist without writing your own scripts, I’d suggest looking into WFDownloader App. It’s a standalone program that is much better at crawling through multiple pages and sub-galleries automatically than most Chrome extensions. It has specific "crawling" modes that can handle complex site structures.

Another pro-tip for these types of sites: use a dedicated "Auto Scroll" extension first. Let the page scroll to the very bottom to trigger all the lazy-loaded image links, and then run your downloader.

For the FAQ Tathagata is writing, it might be worth mentioning JDownloader 2 as well—it's open-source and, while the UI is a bit clunky, its "LinkGrabber" feature is incredibly powerful for ripping media from almost any URL you feed it. Looking forward to seeing that guide!
