And Kate is on a whole different popularity level than Lily, Elsa, and Lais. Like her or not, the woman is the exception to the rule as far as covers go, and I don't know why people fail to put her in a separate category when she's the only model who's scored a US Vogue cover besides Gisele in the last several years. I mean, I won't be upset if I'm wrong, since all three are great models and I would love to see them on UK Vogue, but I just see it as unlikely. ETA: Actually, the more I think about it, the more it maybe could be a cover…we'll see!

I'd be absolutely stunned if it's a cover for Vogue rather than just an editorial. Vogue UK is one of the more 'prestigious' covers to get and there's a looooong list of models that would get a cover before them, I think, even if there is a big announcement to be made. But who knows, maybe I'm wrong. I don't think so, though.

But I thought that's what was meant by "budgeting," i.e. they're producing nothing new/not doing heavy promotion because they don't want to spend the money, they're just trying to make $$$ until they have to blow a bunch on the show. And if they don't have to, there's no reason why they should. People are foolish. That Very Sexy line with all the strappy bras from the Miami shoot is the worst quality of lingerie I've ever seen. And IDK if PINK winning out says as much about Elsa as it does VS's current target market. There's a reason they had Taylor Swift perform last year. Maybe they'll have two PINK sections in the fashion show in December

That makes sense about their budgeting. I am also wondering what their inspiration for the holiday shoot will be. One of the pics looked like they were shooting Behati against the NYC backdrop...

^LOL yes. I noticed that when everyone was ranting and raving about the 'fresh new VS look' in one of the models' threads; they're doing what other companies have already been doing and I instantly thought back to that Free People catalogue when I saw the pics. It's probably the same damn location. Not even subtle. I feel like this year has been particularly dull for VS; no exciting events and nothing fresh and new from the company. Same old same old. And I too wish they would do a clean sweep to be honest. They've been using the same girls for ages. Also the idea of an Angel is stale and needs to be tossed; the Angels do less for the company than some of the other girls and there's no point to the distinction anymore.

I thought fittings started a while ago? She had said something in June about fittings I thought. Are there pics? …and can we retire the term "token black girl" please?

WHOA now that you say that, I had no idea that Lais was only 23! I do also think Alessandra looks older than the rest of them, but I still think she is one of their better spokeswomen and brings a great energy to her shoots. I'm sure she will inevitably leave in the next few years, but she's done so much for the company that there's no reason she shouldn't be able to do it on her own time. And I'm curious to see if Lindsay shows up for the holiday shoots, which seem to have just started yesterday with Adriana. If they don't use her for catalogue or the commercial, it's probably safe to say she's no longer an angel. I'm sure she will walk the show either way, though. Also haven't seen Karlie around…it really is Martha, Lily, Candice and Behati carrying the brand right now while the other angels go do their own thing.

this thread In other news, the press tour for Hercules started today with a photocall in London and Barbara is not there. I'm sure she's not doing the entire tour, but I at least hope she joins them for some of the premieres.

No one said I didn't like it. I'm entirely calm. She definitely did gain a little weight but it looks good on her! I also think most of the other girls looked a bit bigger as well. Summer is a slower time, so it'll probably be off by the SS '15 shows in September regardless. Anyways, loved her look at Givenchy; amazing collection and cast IMO. But LOL at the long wait; were they waiting for Kanye?

I hope she dyes her hair darker soon! The color is ok but I still think she looks better with a chocolate brown. And TBH I always feel a little sad when she goes back to Budapest since that generally means she's not doing any work.

This was discussed in Behati's thread, but Bee recently gave an interview saying this: I'm almost positive she got the fantasy bra, and I'll go one better and say that they told her around her birthday. Around then, she posted some picture on Instagram like 'so lucky to be a part of this family,' and she rarely does something like that unless she's been given a big opportunity. And the timing is about right, since I know at least Alessandra found out about hers in late May. I have no idea why I think that; it's just a gut feeling.
