    Inter 3 - 2 Fiore

    For 70' Inter was perfect.. I had not seen them so dominant in awhile. They were up 3-0. Then they felt like the game was already done and stopped playing. Toni Il Magnifico scored twice and made us inter fans, as usual, suffer til the end.

    All in all .. deserved win.

    This game was a matter of motivation. France had it, Italy didn't.

    R. Carlos was good.. he wasn't only free kicks.. he was an attacking wing back.. a great one.

    Nice little fact: Facchetti got sent off only ONE time in all of his career. :)

    If you don't know Facchetti.. think of Roberto Carlos and multiply that several times..

    Zidane's a pussy no matter what Materazzi told him.

    It's sad that so many people judge a man on a single act. Sure, it's mostly his own fault, but "a pussy" isn't the first thing that comes to mind when I think of Zidane. More likely, I would call him a flawed genius.

    But in the end, exactly which of the top footie players was a choir boy?

    Maradonna, Best, Cantona, ... all had their own demons.

    I can't say he's a pussy in the absolute value because I don't know him personally, but he was in that occasion. I'm sure his black team mates (which suffer more serious verbal abuse EVERY weekend) thinked the same, but had to part with him since he was their captain.

    Apparently Materazzi has finally told the press what he said to Zidane in the final:

    "I was tugging his shirt, he said to me 'if you want my shirt so much I'll give it to you afterwards,' I answered that I'd prefer his sister."

    Not a very classy thing to say, but I have been told worse stuff myself on the footie field.

    Very sad and shocking day for Inter and Italy yesterday. Facchetti, Inter's president and football glory, passed away. :cry:

    Chelsea at the time wanted Vieri, but Vieri was at his top.. he was scoring 20+ goal per season.. so Inter sold Crespo who was recovering from a knee injury.

    I guess Inter should have sold Vieri to Chelsea :whistle:
