  1. Actually, Adrian Grenier isn't 1/4th Apache. Due to a recent Genealogy done by a professional for Adrian, his Apache ancestry comes from his mothers side, and it is from the 1600's in New Mexico. A Great Grandfather of his from that time was actually a Conquistador, who's wife of daughter something like that, was captured by the Apache people, according to the records, when she was located again, she was either pregnant or had just had a child. That is how it was proven. However I still don't understand how, through DNA testing, they were able to show by what percentage, due to the fact the ancestor was on his mother's side who's blood had come down through the generations through both female and male DNA. Y-DNA is strictly male tested, women are unable to do this test, however there is a mtDNA that can be tested from both men and women, therefore if what the Genealogist stated was true as far as the DNA testing, there is no way they would have been able to prove by what percentage, due to the fact that his blood went from a female ancestor to a male ancestor and on down to his mother.
