Long piece on Lady in White: http://criterioncast...-lady-in-white/
The film has twists and turns, creepy imagery, violence out of nowhere against children, some stellar child acting (especially from Lukas Haas) and one of the most haunting scenes using the song "Did You Ever See a Dream Walking" in whistle form that I've ever heard. I feel like this film has been sadly been forgotten and put aside for flashier horror films, but this film has influenced The Sixth Sense and The Others, two hugely popular ghost stories that came out a decade or more later. -
February!
FOX premieres season 2 of #TOUCH w/ @RealKiefer David Mazouz @maria_bello Lukas Haas on Fri. Feb. 1 at 9pm. about: http://bit.ly/w6nwfw -
Touch: http://www.digitalsp...in-trouble.html
Until earlier this month, it seemed that Fox was gearing itself up to relaunch Touch - the latest drama from Heroes creator Tim Kring - in a big way. The show's second season had attracted a top-notch cast to appear alongside star Kiefer Sutherland - including superb character actors Lukas Haas (Inception), Said Taghmaoui (Lost) and Keith David (Pitch Black) - and was all due to return with new episodes on October 26.But then the news came that the show's big comeback had been delayed by three months. Reports surfaced claiming that the Touch delay was simply designed to give the returning show an uninterrupted run and a bigger promotional lift than it would have received with a fall launch...

^That's such a cute picture!
There will be a distributor screening/party of Meth Head tomorrow in LA. Hopefully successful!
What director Jane Clark wrote in her newsletter: http://myemail.const...aid=mKOxsyF4I6I
<snip>
In a much more complicated way this has come up for me with Meth Head. That film was really blessed - the way it unfolded, talent came to us, locations materialized, costs were saved - was all magical. Truly. I can't explain how organic and clean and right that process was, even through the more difficult times.
And I love the film. I have such high hopes for it. Starting way back when I really thought we would be playing Sundance. And surely if not Sundance than another top tier festival, where some big cheese indie distributor was going to fall madly in love with it and throw their weight behind a theatrical launch. And yet, that hasn't happened. Arrogance or Optimisim with a splash of naivete?
I have people saying, I shot too high for my first time out. I should have pushed for smaller festivals up front and just got the film seen. I had some people involved with the film, asking me to do that as we were rolling out. I said no. I thought it deserved to be in that top tier. Arrogance or Optimism?
Is it perfect film? No. I'm not sure there is such a thing as a perfect movie. But does everyone agree it is well-made, beautifully acted, powerful and moving. Yes. And yes it's got some uncomfortable scenes, it is emotional for a lot of people, it has a very dark feel. But it is also humorous at times and whimsical and human. And I don't know why feeling something at the movies wouldn't appeal to audiences. But common wisdom currently is that people don't want to feel, they want to escape. Maybe. But I think my film will be an exception if given the chance. Arrogance or Optimism?

Goddammit!
'Touch' season two pushed back to 2013 - http://www.digitalsp...ck-to-2013.html
http://www.thewrap.c...-timeslot-59271
The shift allows "Touch" to have an uninterrupted run and means that the series will benefit from strong promotional platforms. With NFC football leading into the midseason and "American Idol" and the new Kevin Bacon drama "The Following" both bowing in January as well, "Touch" will have the opportunity for better promotion.Blah. You're pissing the audience off though, me at least.

Thank you, princess! This is a very well documented evening. I found fan photos:
A video of Lukas texting and dancing next to Psy:
An article:

Also at TAO for the night were the Jonas Brothers. The siblings dined at the Asian Bistro and then Joe Jonas joined the owner's table in the nightclub, along with actor Lucas Haas. This pic, whose tweeter claims the person in the square next to Lukas is Erin Heatherton: (girl in the forefront is unnamed, just squared for flirting with Psy)
And Lukas also posted a video on mobli!

Crazy Eyes comes out on dvd on October 9th: http://www.amazon.co...ords=crazy eyes
Another interesting review:
http://moviesharkdeb...8eDCNmc.twitter
As he is so good at doing, Lukas Haas maintains an even, droll, unemotional, detached persona throughout the film. He has always had that lost, soulful, drugged out look with his own "crazy eyes" and it works to his advantage in creating Zach. Haas has the rare ability to maintain a controlled even temperament, almost as if in a Zen state, but doing so without it feeling controlled. I love to watch him, looking for the veneer to crack, but he never does. A tacitly powerful and intriguing performance. One new Mobli pic from Vegas:
Looks different somehow!

Hiii LukasLov3r, great to see you posting! Love that jOBS set pic!
Aaand first look at Lukas Haas in "Touch":
http://www.tvrage.co...inds-lukas-haas
The dreamy Lukas Haas (is he still dreamy? I'm so out of touch with teenage girl culture) has joined the cast of FOX's Touch as Calvin Norburg, an algorithm specialist at the "vaguely sinister" Aster Corps, which is the research facility trying to track down Jack Bower...err...Martin Bohn (Kiefer Sutherland) and his wiz-kid son Jake (David Mazouz), said TV Guide. Norburg is listed as a reluctant evil genius. Poor evil geniuses, life is hard for them."He joined Aster Corps strictly for the money, but what he really wants to do is change the world. Watch for him to break away and go through a lot of unexpected changes," said Haas.
Just don't ask him to tell you what the algorithms mean.
"All those equations add up to something, I'm guessing," Haas said, refering to the scribblings behind him. "Just don't ask me what it all means.
Haas has been working in Hollywood since he was seven years old. His credits include Witness, Leap of Faith, Mars Attacks!, Zoolander, Brick, 24, Alpha Dog and Inception.
I haven't caught Touch, but I've heard good things. I think Haas makes a strong addition, as his work in Brick was pretty darn good. He's one of those people that doesn't seem to work as much as his talent level would lead you to believe he should.

"All those equations add up to something, I'm guessing," Lukas Haas says of the chicken scratch behind him. "Just don't ask me what it all means."
Haas joins the cast of Touch (returning Oct. 26 at 8/7c on Fox) this season as Calvin Norburg, an algorithm specialist at vaguely sinister Aster Corps, the research facility trying to hunt down Martin Bohm (Kiefer Sutherland) and his brainy son, Jake (David Mazouz). Norburg may be something of a reluctant evil genius, however. "He joined Aster Corps strictly for the money, but what he really wants to do is change the world. Watch for him to break away and go through a lot of unexpected changes."
Haas, best known as the kid who saw too much opposite Harrison Ford in Witness, marks his debut as a TV-series regular in the role. "On television you end up shooting five times as much material in the same amount of hours [as a movie]," he says. "That's an equation I may never understand."
Also Yusuf from Inception will be there too:
http://www.hollywood...therland-365668
John Boyd, who starred as Arlo Glass on the eighth season of 24, has booked a recurring role on the second-year drama, The Hollywood Reporter has learned exclusively. In addition, Inception's Dileep Rao has boarded the series.
Boyd will recur as Kase, a brilliant math and algorithm researcher who is Calvin's (Lukas Haas) college friend and close confidant. Rao, whose credits also include Avatar, will be a recurring guest star and play Vikash Nayar, a wealthy and influential shareholder at Aster Corp.
Cannot wait.

Touch--We've heard less about the future of the Fox's Touch than we he have the glossy new series about to impact on us, but a few new cast members have been announced for the sophomore season. Lukas Haas, a man possessed of one of the most intriguing faces in showbiz, has a talent for appearing beside famous actors in very different projects: he appeared opposite Joseph Gordon-Levitt in both Brick and Inception, and after having been in three episodes of Kiefer Sutherland's previous series 24 is now joining Touch as a regular character named Calvin, a genius working for the mysterious Aster Corps that is after Jake. Also boarding Touch as a regular is Said Taghmaoui (Caesar from Lost) as Guillermo Ortiz, a smart Jesuit priest-turned-killing machine, and Saxon Sharbino as Lucy, another gifted child. Adam Campbell (Harper's Island) and Ray Santiago (Raising Hope) have joined in recurring roles, as a friend of Calvin's and a hacker at BreakWire.Heh, a man possessed of one of the most intriguing faces in showbiz. Why, yes.

Gah, so cute! Don't know if it's in the thread already, but it certainly can't hurt to have it here.
Lukas has already been working on Touch on Friday (according to twitter). He posted this pic of himself in Malibu on Saturday:
And this is from New York a few days ago:
Does that mean he has that beard in Touch? That surprises me for some reason.

<snip>FOX has issued a press release confirming the addition of Haas as Calvin Norburg, an employee for evil research organization Aster Corps who encounters Martin (Sutherland) and his secret-genius son Jake (David Mazouz) while they're on the lam in Los Angeles. It's not for certain if Haas will play a stalking baddie or sympathetic ally, although his gentle face makes one assume the latter (then again, his unlikely heel turn in "Brick" suggests capability for the opposite).

Yay!!
The good folks at Fox apparently like what happens when Lukas Haas and Keifer Sutherland share the screen together. The former 24 costars will be reunited this fall when Haas joins the cast of Touch as Calvin Butterfield, a young genius entrepreneur and scientist.According to a show source, Haas will be a series regular.
Touch returns to Fox’s schedule in its new Friday timeslot on Oct. 26, 8/7c.

Looking amazing in Europe:

More Hawaii:
LOL Chuck and his half/quarter/eighth photos of Leo. Is that some kind of game? I hope he gets more bold now that he got away with these, I love to see pictures of them together.
I didn't see anything about a Crazy Eyes interview with Lukas (there's several with Madeline Zima and Jake Busey) or the announced Q&A screening. I actually wonder if he was even there, he seems to have been in Hawaii the whole time... He kinda really sucks at self promotion! Or is he playing hard to get?
