Paolo Maldini
Maldini trusts in veteran keeper AC Milan captain Paolo Maldini insists the team have total faith in fellow veteran Valerio Fiori, who will be in goal at Arsenal on Wednesday.Fiori is set for a first appearance since 2003 in the Champions League clash at the Emirates Stadium. With regular number one Dida already out with a back injury and understudy Zeljko Kalac a major doubt because of a dislocated finger, 38-year-old Fiori may well get a call into action. Fiori has made just two competitive appearances in eight seasons with the Rossoneri, but maintains he is ready if needed. Maldini, who made his 1,000th appearance for club and country in the draw with Parma last weekend, maintains his team-mate will be up to the task. He declared: "The team have full confidence in all three of our goalkeepers. I am sure he will do well. "Obviously, he may be nervous in the first minute, but we have faith."

Alexandre Pato
Pato fit to face Gunners in Europe AC Milan youngster Alexandre Pato has shaken off an ankle injury and will be available to face Arsenal in Wednesday's Champions League clash. The return of Pato, who has scored four league goals for Carlo Ancelotti's team since making his debut earlier this year, is good news for the Rossoneri who recently lost Ronaldo for the remainder of the season to a knee injury.

Gilardino: We Can Beat Arsenal They may have a few injuries, but AC Milan striker Alberto Gilardino still reckons the Rossoneri will be too strong for Arsenal Defending champions AC Milan continue the defence of their title as they come up against Premier League leaders Arsenal in the final 16. Things aren't going well for the Rossoneri domestically, and they are experiencing somewhat of a goalkeeper crisis, but striker Alberto Gilardino doesn't think any of this will matter over the two legs. "Our injury list has hurt us but it cannot be an excuse for this match," said the Italian international. "With our squad and our European title, we are ready for this battle and we want to win it again. "Arsenal are the leaders in the Premier League and they are developing the level of their game. But we are champions and will have extra belief for the matches."

COURAGE AND PERSONALITY Ancelotti says 'I respect Wenger and Arsenal. We will need courage, personality, and humility. Like last season in Munich and Manchester.' Maldini considers the English team 'more consistent and stronger than a year ago.' LONDON - Ahead of Arsenal-Milan, here are the declarations of Carlo Ancelotti and Paolo Maldini during the press conference. CARLO ANCELOTTI 'Kalac? We will try him out early on tomorrow, in the pre-match warm-up. He told me he's doing better, but let's wait for tomorrow. We decided not to risk anything today in training, he will try tomorrow just before the match at the Emirates stadium. If he shouldn't make it, Fiori will play. I don't make it a problem, it's not something I'm losing any sleep over. I trust Fiori.' 'I have a lot of respect for Arsene Wenger, he built his team very well, buying a lot of young players. We need to have courage, personality, and humility. Courage and personality are crucial to play our game like we will do tomorrow and like we did last year in Munich and Manchester.' 'Lately things have changed in England, the violence has been repressed. There are new stadiums, the spectacle is good. Playing in these big stadiums is exciting, aside from the final result.' PAOLO MALDINI 'If he plays, Fiori will be ready.' 'Arsenal are a team who have a lot of enthusiasm, this year they are more consistent, it's more difficult to face them this year compared to last year. They are very different to Liverpool, they play the ball on the ground a lot, without long passes. This match has been presented as a match between a young team and a not so young team, but the reality shows that Milan have understood that you can win with the right mix between experienced players and younger ones.' 'Adebayor is an unusual player, he can run a lot but at the same time he's very skilled. Once it was harder to find players like that, today they are more common.'
