  1. Does anyone have an idea what show this was from? I only have a 3-4 second clip of YG in this one from what I think was a compilation video. It's similar to pieces by Lacroix she's modeled, but not the same. (apologies for the admittedly low quality of the screencaps, best I could do)
  2. Thanks for the recent scans BA & RQ!
  3. In case the inline links don't work in the 1st post...

  5. Thank you so much! I found a short clip of that show at https://www.facebook.com/141962322495073/videos/764617773562855/ The part with Yasmeen in that outfit shows up at the 2:25 mark
  6. Does anyone know what show this may have been from? From the file name, it suggests this appeared in "Burda" magazine in 1991-1992...?
  7. Thank you! I think you are right, it fits closely with the ID for her here: http://websta.me/p/971902051174151317_187893420
  8. BA, thanks for all those wonderful shares!
  9. Model for Boston Proper retailer. Sorry, I know the sunglasses make ID'ing more difficult. I looked at the MC2 modeling site, since previous BP identifications have mostly been from there, but nobody stood out as being likely. http://www.bostonproper.com/Product_Images/570151406_1379.jpg http://www.bostonproper.com/Product_Images/570151489_2148.jpg http://www.bostonproper.com/Product_Images/570149175_002.jpg
  10. The impression I got from her interviews is that she was smart enough to know that modeling doesn't last forever, and had a plan for the rest of her life that she followed. Good for her. I think she got married right around the time she retired from modeling, too, so it was probably just a job that she put behind her without much regret once she moved on with her life. The shots we see are pretty glamorous, but a lot of the job of being a model is monotonous and dull: getting fitted for the clothes, getting makeup put on, prep work for the shot, etc. The pay is excellent, and there is a certain lifestyle that comes with it, but there's much not to like about the job too. Yasmeen also said that her family, especially her dad (an imam), wasn't thrilled with her decision to go into modeling; that didn't stop her, but leaving it behind probably removed a source of tension between them, as well.
  11. She got married, had kids, and retired from the fashion scene. In short, got on with living real life, and good for her. If I remember correct, there were rumors a couple years back that she might become a host for the Canadian version of "Project Runway" or some other fashion-themed TV show, but nothing came of it.
  12. Thanks so much BA! I've been looking for video of that Versace show for years, wonderful to see!
  13. These are supposedly from the Atelier Versace Fall 94-95 show, though this video of the show doesn't appear to have YG in it. However, Versace seemed to be really into the power-suit-without-bra look that year, so this would fit.
  14. Different version of the scan from heywood (thanks!). I think this is from Victoria's Secret, but not sure.
  15. For what its worth, came back to this and did a little more digging. The image is from a stock set done by photographer "e-unit" here: http://www.corbisimages.com/Search#pg=e+unit&p=1
  16. From what I've seen, this is true not just of YG but lots of models. I think it has much to do with becoming established: once you achieve supermodel status, you have a lot more power to turn down jobs that you don't want to do, as compared to when a model is just starting out. Also don't need the money nearly as much after hitting that level, which is also a factor in what jobs are accepted.
  17. Wonderful finds, thanks for sharing!
  18. screengrab taken from 0:45 at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SmbSWU_7zRg sorry about the quality. Anyone have an idea what show this was from? That YT video was the first time I'd seen Yas in this dress.
  19. I think that's the same dress she wore on the Oct. '92 Cosmo cover:
  20. Sorry, only have the single image. Anyone know who she is?
  21. These are from the Bare Necessities site, around 2006-2007. I thought it might be Alina Vacariu or Jennifer Lamiraqui, but neither looks correct. Help appreciated!
