Marloes Horst: "Cada día es una oportunidad para crecer" La modelo Marloes Horst, alcanzó la gloria en Victoria's Secret, nos cuenta como se vive el éxito. Se describe a sí misma como cariñosa, patosa y terca. La top neerlandesa cumplió su sueño de pertenecer al olimpo de diosas de Victoria’s Secret. Ahora, nos cuenta qué ve desde la cima. Soñaba con ser veterinaria, de hecho, su mayor obsesión confesa es Pip, la brittany spaniel con la que comparte su vida. Pero llegó la adolescencia, y Marloes Horst (Akkrum, 1989) comenzó a soñar con ser modelo. Su meta, convertirse en ángel de Victoria’s Secret. Pocos años después ya era objetivo conseguido. «Cuando empecé, me fijaba en ellas: eran preciosas pero también fuertes. Sentía que si quería ser una verdadera modelo, tenía que trabajar para ellos. Y lo hice. Es alucinante, me encanta. Es un sueño y estoy muy agradecida de poder ser una de esas mujeres que yo admiraba en mis comienzos.» Poco queda de esa chica tímida que comenzó mandando a las agencias las fotos que se hacía en el jardín de su casa. «No tenía ningún sentido de moda. Trabajar en los sets me abrió la mente. He aprendido todo de mi trabajo, desde cómo maquillar hasta cómo jugar con las prendas. Cómo divertirte, mezclar, probar, ser atrevida, única. Ahora me encanta comprar y experimentar, cambio de estilo todo el tiempo. No sabía que las prendas podían ser tan liberadoras y decir tanto sin decir nada.» A pesar de tanto mix and match, ella no se separa de sus Levi’s vintage: «Son clásicos y hacen que todo parezca cool. Es complicado encontrar unos vaqueros perfectos. Ahora que finalmente los tengo, no quiero quitármelos. Me gusta sentirme cómoda, suelo llevarlos con camisetas.» De su estilo de vida y de armario rinde buena cuenta su Instagram, del que se declara fan absoluta, «Facebook es más para mi familia, para que vean dónde estoy y lo que hago, aunque también tengo una cuenta de fans. Tengo Twitter desde hace un tiempo, pero todavía estoy acostumbrándome, lo uso más para mirar lo que hacen los demás. Lo que me encanta es Instagram. Soy muy activa. Es como mi diario en imágenes. Me divierte retroceder, echar un vistazo atrás. Me gusta reinventar la forma en la que me hago selfies. También me interesa ver lo creativa que es la gente con sus páginas y fotos.» Esta cualidad es una de sus favoritas, porque si algo importante está heredando de la industria a la que pertenece –aparte de las experiencias y viajes a sitios paradisiacos–, es rodearse de creatividad. «Amo la moda. Me envuelve todos los días. Te hace querer ser imaginativo de formas muy diferentes, como pintar o dibujar. Cuando ves las nuevas colecciones cada temporada, ves cómo cambia el rollo. La moda no es solo ropa, te puede inspirar. A mí a veces me dan ganas hasta de cambiar mi apartamento.» WOMAN.ES

It’s my favourite. I use this every day to clean my skin. It’s very gentle and takes everything off. • Mario Badescu Azulene Calming Mask. I really helps relax my skin after I fly or wear a lot of make up on set which can upset my skin. • Caudalie Beauty Elixir, I always have it on me. It has essential oils in it, which makes it smell amazing and uplifting. It’s great for feeling refreshed on a plane or during hot summer days. • Sara Happ Lip Scrub and Balm. I only just got introduced to these produces and am obsessed with how my lips look and feel after using both products. • Mun Skin Care, Rejuvenating Rose Toner. Madagascar was very impressive and the Maldives was just a slice of heaven. Best part about summer? Daylight savings! I can’t wait for the days to get longer and wake up with the sun.
