  1. Hi!

    I just received this message:

    supermodelicons,

victoria1 has just posted a reply to a topic that you have subscribed to titled "Eva Voorhees".

The topic can be found here:

    http://www.bellazon.com/main/index.php?sho...view=getnewpost

There may be more replies to this topic, but only 1 email is sent per board visit for each subscribed topic. This is

to limit the amount of mail that is sent to your inbox.

Unfortunately, I have no idea how to find the the comment! But I went through the 4 pages and did read somethings that I was asked but didn't reply to, sorry!

Here are some updates for you: the final name for my archiving site is: www.supermodelicons.com

Here are some recent pics someone asked for: http://www.fantasticsmag.com/node/3293

And this is really recent, my passion is animal rescue, someone was kind enough to write an article about it!

  2. To my Bellazon friends:

Thank you from the bottom of my heart! I'm playing catch up to all you proficient Bellazon users, but I will get to your level and learn how to maneuver through this site, hopefully!

I am so grateful for your generosity and assistance in this monumental task. It will be like nothing else-I'm sure of it! Every 70's-80's (and then some) model will have her own album and as much information as possible when the site is expanded to include more than just photographs.

I made 60 albums with my collection of tear sheets. Now, with generous contributions from some of you, I can do justice to a number of models whose albums were nearly empty.

Any contributions you can make to the site would be invaluable. With your assistance I can keep alive the memory and body of work of so many adored models.

I read a post that was called the forgotten models on here once. It was while I was making my site, and all I could think was: I can't wait to go here and let everyone know they are not forgotten! And you could help me keep their memory alive and well. I hope you will visit the site: www.supermodelsofthe70s-80s.org and contribute anything you can. If you have bios, updates, articles, videos, websites, etc., the site is the place where all that information will be kept!

Thank you all for even considering to help me, and for those of you who already have: I am truly touched by your kindness and patience with me. You're the best!

I look forward to this exciting and limitless undertaking!

    Most sincerely,

    Eva Voorhees

    :o

    i have no words!

cant wait to see your site!

If anyone wants to see the supermodels site I have been working on for over a year now, it's really coming along well! www.supermodelicons.com I hope you enjoy it!

    Thanks for all your support!

    Eva :)

  4. Hi Eva, I'm pretty sure this is you.

    post-16241-1262542935_thumb.jpg

:) It is me! Thank you for the post!

Eric Boman shot it, but you know that! <3

And many of these other posts have been sent to me by others recently. Or they have been posted to the fan page on FB, sorry, Facebook!

  5. Hi,

Its Eva here. Would anyone happen to know when Bitten passed? I'm working on the bios now for my supermodels site, and could really use info on the girls.

I see most of the photos in her album were yours! I really appreciate all your contributions! I have 77 albums now, and a new web designer who is working hard to get everything posted!

Now I need to add bios, websites, you tubes and everything else I can get my hands on!

    Thank you,

    Eva

John, You're a wonder. Truly, a bona fide wonder.

I, too, am a dedicated '70's-'80's Supermodel fan, but I'm a slacker and a piker compared to you! For what it's worth, you have my highest admiration, and respects, sir.

I've only been a member for a day, but have found your posts & pictures absolutely phenomenal! Kudos for your efforts!

As to Bitten Knudsen, here are a couple of humble additions to yours.

    post-20609-1208927878_thumb.jpgpost-20609-1208927762_thumb.jpg

Thanks, I appreciate that very much.

  6. You are so kind! I think I finally have a web designer to get the SMI up!

Thanks so much for the compliments, Miss M!

    :)

    Eva,

You are beautiful and not forgotten. Thank you very much for becoming involved on this site and for starting the Supermodels Icon site.

    Miss M

  7. Bless you all! I am so happy for you my friend, what did I tell you about the people here? They are angels and just want to help us!

I see there are quite a few pics already, I'm thrilled for you and now I can make you an album for the site.

I hope you all realize you brought tears to both our eyes today. I am touched beyond belief at you kindness and support. I'm crying again now... I'm so happy you responded. Charity is one of my dearest friends, so I'm feeling your love and her joy!

    Eva

    xoxoxo

P.S. Charity: they know everything-the stuff we don't even remember! :)

Oh, sorry I should have welcomed you first

    Welcome to Bellazon :heythere:

    Thank you so much!!!!!!

I am just thrilled to get anything that I did back then. (even the stuff that never made it into my book, lol)

I can't believe how quick you were with those first scans. WOW!

And... How did you know the name of the male model? I am embarrassed to say, even I didn't remember his name and I worked with him, LOL!

This site is wonderful. Thank you again

  8. I'm on Facebook. There's a photo from Feb. I'm keeping this era from being "forgotten," hopefully, so, yes, I suppose I'm still in the fashion business. Right now it's just me and my web designer. But I'm hoping to get help with it all since I can't do it alone!

    Eva

    Me again!

It was an Italian Vogue. my hair had it's own page. One of my favorite covers ever!

Are you still working in the fashion industry? Are there any "new" pics of you?

    I'm just curious, sorry

  9. Me again!

It was an Italian Vogue. my hair had it's own page. One of my favorite covers ever!

Thanks Fashmagfun  Eva for Valentino - 1982

    my scans

Thanks kukim. The last picture, wow

I have a Italian Vogue or Bazaar where this 2-page picture is, but I can't locate/remember the magazine.

Can you please tell me from what magazine the picture is?

    Fashie

  10. That's how I feel about the scans of all the models. If they want them they are theirs after all!

The head shot and the red striped top next it were photos I didn't know existed until I saw them here about a month ago when I started searching for photographs. I have to admit, I took them for my site! The first shot was for American Vogue by Arthur Elgort, and the second was Albert Watson-love those pics! Thank you!

    Eva

I am happy  you liked them! After all they are in a sense yours.

  11. xoxo

    You guys are the best!

Please be patient with me though! I can't figure out this thread for the life of me. All I know is that everyone who has contacted me has been amazingly kind and helpful. I'm overwhelmed by your generosity and enthusiasm in helping me with my project.

Thank you so much! And I hope we can all work together to make your and my dream to preserve the work of so many models come alive.

    Love,

    Eva (Voorhees) :)

    Thanks again so much Eva!

Now that I know the right spelling, I found this site:

    http://web.mac.com/evavoorhis_voorhees/Site_1/Menu.html

    WONDERFUL !

    Eva

  13. Thank all of YOU so much! And I so appreciate your willingness to help me with this site! It's up now. It's address is: www.supermodelsofthe70s-80s.org. I was able to add 7 albums to it last night thanks to the generous donations from a couple of people here on Bellazon! Thanks to you both!

I'm working with a web designer to expand it to include so much more. The name will be changed to supermodelicons.com at that point, but for now you can see what I've done for the models, and what I hope to continue doing. I really would appreciate any scans of the models who have very small photo albums. Other than what was generously sent to me, these were all my tear sheets I scanned.

Some don't have an album at all because I have no photos of them, so if this is something anyone wants to help me accomplish-that would be wonderful and a tremendous help!

I'll be posting their sites, links, bios, current status, and again, anything you want to share with me will be helpful.

I always think of this business as a family, and I want my friends and the other models to succeed in anything they are currently doing, and insure their modeling work will always be remembered.

It's a site for everyone who appreciates the models from that era!

PS fashmagfun: You didn't misspell my name. It was spelled Voorhis at birth, but when I learned it was originally spelled Voorhees, and had been changed for some unknown reason, I change it back legally. Sorry for the confusion! It's been Voorhees more than 20 years now.

    Wonderful news!

Something I have always dreamed about

Thank you so much Eva!

I am surely willing to contribute and help in your effort.

BTW: I made a thread for her Oct 23 2008, but I misspelled the name

as Eva Voorhis...I have always thought it was right, and nobody corrected me, sorry for that!
