He has four brothers, three older and one younger. Cavill credits his siblings as the reason he has stayed so down-to-earth. "Having brothers who are bigger, hairier and been around longer than me [keeps me grounded]!" Cavill went to boarding school at Stowe School, which is located in Buckingham, England. While attending Stowe, he appeared in several plays and musicals, including A Midsummer Night's Dream, Grease and 40 Minutes(which he also directed). "In prep school, I really learned to love the stage. When you step out from the wings and into the lights, there's this incredible rush of adrenaline and fear and anticipation; it's just something else, it really is." It was while he was at Stowe that he was discovered by casting directors looking for a young boy to play Albert Mondego in Touchstone Pictures' The Count of Monte Cristo. "They were looking for a boarding school boy and luckily, I happened to look right for the part and I had a bit of acting experience, and that's were it all kind of kicked off." Since then he has appeared in a several well-known movies, such as The Count of Monte Cristo, Hellraiser: Hellworld, I Capture the Castle, Tristan + Isolde, Stardust and the upcoming Joel Schumacher film, Creek. But Cavill is most well-known as Charles Brandon, the best friend to King Henry the 8th and the lover of ladies on Showtime's original series, The Tudors. Michael Hirst, writer/producer on Showtime's The Tudors has said, "Henry is very beautiful. My daughters are all desperate to marry him. Henry Cavill is going to be a great film star. I don't think there is going to be any doubt about that." Recently, Cavill was featured in Vanity Fair's "Hollywood’s Next-Gen Men" article and was selected as a "Rising Star" by Access Hollywood. Others have taken notice of Cavill as well: US Weekly profiled Henry as one of hottest men in its "TV's New Top 10 Dream Men" article in the April 8, 2008 issue. Interview magazine predicted Henry as "the kind of [actor] you [want] to watch grow" and for audiences "to keep an eye out for him" in the April 2008 collector's issue. Cavill has recently been cast in the Untitled Woody Allen Project, which is set to begin filming in New York and to be released in 2009.
  5. Enrique Palacios, the proud product from Venezuela is shining big on the international modeling stage. Being one of the most popular male models in Latin American countries, Enrique is nothing short of a celebrity. Best known for his campaigns for Armani, Tommy Hilfiger and Dolce & Gabbana, Enrique is making more headlines by marrying British supermodel Naomi Campbell. Born in Caracas, Venezuela, Enrique grow up with his younger brother in a fun loving family. Enrique was discovered in his hometown, Caracas in 1995, while Karin Models France was looking for new talents. An agent approached him and proposed the idea of modeling in France. His doubts about living in another country and leaving his family behind rejected the offer. After all the persuasion from the agency and the compromise made on Enrique's part, he eventually landed in Paris France on January 24th, 1996. Enrique stayed in Paris for only one year due to personal discomfort and unfamiliarity with French fashion, then moved to New York, joining up with Wilhelmina agency. "In Paris, I made many clients, but it is not easy to have an accent there. I changed the base to New York, where people open the doors to you if you work for them." In New York, he shared an apartment near Square Union with his then fiancee, a Spanish model named Eugenia Silva. The life was as he recalled as living in the room with a scaling wall, where he got up each morning to prepare himself soon after a cup of white coffee. The most notable success of Enrique has to be his four-year run of the spokes model role for Italian fashion house Giorgio Armani. Enrique Palacios's personal understanding for fashion industry gives him eyes and knowledge in terms of campaign selections and right attitude towards work. His self-confidence corresponds to his marketing strategy simply by ignoring the competition in the industry. Being considered a personal friend of Giorgio Armani, there have been some ups and downs over the years of cooperation between the two, including the incident that Enrique didn't respond to Armani's initial invitaion due to the tragedy of Vargas in Venezuela. "Many models have managers that decide by them. I prefer to have the freedom to choose," says Enrique. The independence that Enrique solely demands in his early career has cost him the job with Hugo Boss, and made him realize the harsh reality of modeling business. When both Dolce & Gabanna and Hugo Boss proposed to him for ad campaigns, Enrique followed up with both companies at the same time, which made the two major fashion houses compete for his spot. The subsequent action was the dropout of Hugo Boss from the competition, and Enrique lost his best opportunity to ever model for one of the biggest male fashion brand names in the world. The growing influence of Latin culture over the rest of the world is no longer a barrier for Enrique to enter the main stream entertainment business. Currently taking private acting lessons, Enrique is aiming to be an actor in Hollywood. His also has an affiliation with Maria Conchita Alonso, with whom shared an editorial of the magazine W, dedicated to expand the popularity of Latinos into the world. The other hobbies that Enrique has is to ride his Harley motorcycle and eat Sushi. Over the years, Enrique has appeared in many campaigns, including Armani, Tommy Hilfiger, Dolce & Gabbana, Ferre, Marshal, White Label, and among others. He resides between New York, Milan and Paris, becoming a regular air flier. His busy schedule cost him the relationship with his former fiancee. But his encounter with Naomi Campbell in the Dolce & Gabbana villa located on the Stromboli Islands during the summer 2001 has led to further romance. Despite of the age difference that Enrique is five years younger, the couple finally tied the knot in the summer 2002.
  6. Marc Savoia, born in 1976 in Melbourne , is an Australian TV presenter, model and visual artist. 6-foot-tall Savoia began his career in 1998, modelling in Australia and internationally, building an impressive portfolio of work in catalogues, editorial, runway and television commercials. He landed the coveted part after being flown to the UK to audition for renowned music impresario and producer Robert Stigwood at London’s Palladium Theatre. After nationwide publicity, the production did not make it to opening night due to financial difficulties. In 2001, Savoia turned his near-miss on the big stage to a sure thing on the small screen, landing a role as roving reporter for Fox 8’s The Cover. Showcasing the latest in style, innovations, ideas and culture, Marc looked after Melbourne stories and events. Subsequently, he was asked to MC the launch of Melbourne Fashion Week 2001, was profiled in Australian Cleo's Top 50 Bachelors of the Year, and would later host The Simpsons Summer Fest on Fox8. Savoia also appeared in the acclaimed Australian short film Titsiana Booberini, directed by Robert Luketic who went on to acclaim in the US directing Legally Blonde. In 2002, Savoia moved into a role as a travel presenter and host for a racy lifestyle program called About (Fox8), airing both in Australia and Canada. He reported from Los Angeles, New York, London, Paris and Rome, interviewing a host of colourful celebrities including Camryn Manheim from The Practice, Aussie music guru Molly Meldrum and notorious NY socialite Miss Amanda Lapore. In 2004-05, Savoia added a new chapter to his travel reporting, becoming host/presenter for two Fox 8 shows. While taking on a new series of About, now evolving into a youth culture series with a focus on Australians kicking butt overseas, Marc also presented on Out & About, a snapshot of alternative culture and lifestyle in Australia and abroad. The series was snapped up by MTV Viacom in the US and renamed Round Trip Ticket. Marc was sent on assignment to Athens, Mykonos, Berlin, Amsterdam and Hong Kong. Apart from the excitement of shooting in some of the world’s greatest locations, Savoia has been fortunate to meet people with amazing life stories. His style is to go in cold in interviews and allow his natural curiosity to unravel the subject and learn what makes them tick. Savoia's personal highlights from the first series of Round Trip Ticket/Out & About include reporting from the Closing Ceremony of the 2004 Olympic Games, interviewing Nobel Peace Prize nominee Zackie Achmat and meeting the charismatic Mayor of Berlin, Klause Wowereit. The second series, with stories from Bangkok, Tokyo, Dublin, Rotterdam, Manchester, Portland (Oregon) and Montreal, includes an interview with controversial and outspoken Irish Bishop Pat Buckley, and a visit to Cirque du Soleil headquarters in Montreal. When not in front of the camera, Savoia indulges his passion for art. His work challenges norms with an irreverent use of medium and a rambunctious use of colour. He currently produces abstract paintings with materials such as resin, broken glass, cigarette butts and spaghetti. Marc, the artist, is building a strong reputation on the Australian scene after his first solo exhibition in 2006 with Thierry B Gallery, Prahran East.
