  1. New York magazine March 25, 1985

Here's the cover (just for reference) and an ad for Cosmopolitan which has Paulina in it (I found it by accident on the Internet New York magazine archives and was able to purchase the issue so I could scan the ad myself)

WOw! these are really beautiful!!Where do you get these things from? I love the last two, I wish I knew how to photoshop them together! She is just sooo gorgeous! How old was she here? 1983? maybe 17 years old? just adorable.Thank you so much, Red!

Hi paulinafan! I'm so glad you enjoyed them. I will gladly edit both posts to have smaller sizes too (sorry, was very tired last night and forgot to post the smaller versions) - it might be a day or two before I'm able to get them added. I got the Reflections book and Arthur Elgort's Models Manual from ebay. That's where I get probably 95% of my pictures. If you watch and wait, you can usually find things for a very good price. The Reflections book I got for under $3.00 (+ shipping) and the other one I got for about that price too. I also got Sirens for relatively cheap, although after I bought it, I found it a LOT cheaper about 2 weeks later (I was a little grumpy for a while, but timing is key and I just wasn't quite patient enough with that one).

Got to it sooner than anticipated. Both posts have been updated with smaller versions of the pics!

  4. Estee Lauder??

    post-20215-1228793117_thumb.jpg

Hello Paulinafan, I can inform you about your questions. This magazine you show in your post it's the Harper's bazaar's Venezolan edition. Next pic, you are right it's an Estee Lauder's pic from 1992 make-up campaigne "Between Sea and Ski", I've got a small one like you. And the second Estee Lauder's pic (b&w) you can find it in the NY times sunday magazine(4th September 1988) wave.gif

Also, that b&w Estee Lauder ad is available in Vanity Fair US edition, September 1988 in a whole 8-page advertising spread that appeared in that issue for Estee Lauder.

  5. Wow!

Did you see this incredible collection??!

I think it is the hugest ever up on ebay for Paulina.

Yes, Kalaudia, I did see this marvelous collection. The starting bid is $99.99 but this seller used "reserve" - so they must have a price in mind that they will not sell it for less than. I'll bet they want at least $500 for all these pictures.

That's part of my stuff I sold a few years ago.

Wow, Jal! You had a beautiful collection! Were just the covers yours or also some of the other items?

The auction is now over and, even in this economy, it went for a pretty high price - over $600! I thought with the combination of the economy right now and being so close to Christmas that it might have sold for less, maybe $400 or $500. Apparently someone still has lots of money to spend. ha-ha!

Nest to Renee Simonsen, my Paulina was the biggest file I had so I there were editorials as well.

Jal, just curious, was any of the Estee Lauder stuff in your original collection?

missparker to the rescue! Thank you so much! This is the first time I've seen the entire editorial in High Quality. You saved me potentially a lot of money as I was having a painful time deciding it I was willing to spend too much on ebay for it. Now, I can rest easy with my money in my wallet.

  8. another question...this one is for kalaudia...

I noticed this picture that I downloaded a long time ago from the first couple of pages of Paulina's thread says "Paulina WebArchive" on it. Do you happen to know what magazine/issue it is from?
