    Thanks for your reply. I already feel silly for having fallen for it, so I really wanted to believe that was her. However I am not stubborn at all, and I appreciate your post.

    Re. the angeladriana name, I simply assumed it to be tied to VS as the Today Show hosts have their pages tied to NBC. Some celebs tweet personal info (such as rapper Soulja Boy - not that he's really big, lol), but some tweet to keep their fans abreast of what they're promoting and to occasionally reach out to show fans that they are in touch. R&B singer Aaliyah was online with her fans before she died (her family confirmed this), plus I've not been up-to-date on new Adriana news, so maybe that's why I fell for it.

    I'll be more cautious about how my tone may come across in the future because this is supposed to be a fun site where all of us adore and chat about Adriana :p My apologies to you and anyone to whom I came off abrupt to.

    Oh, and I 100% agree with you that it's unfortunate that someone's using Adriana's name...or anyone's name. Like us, they should add "fan" behind it. When they impersonate her, it's misleading and should be illegal.

    You're right. The signing was a big missed opportunity. I was just in shock that she remembered me and liked my work. I froze, LOL.

    It's not her. It's the same person that had the MySpace that her reps had deleted earlier this year because after she got married they had updated about her being pregnant and everyone thought it was true (which it was), but it wasn't her and her reps released a statement saying that it wasn't her and had the MySpace taken down. Now if you want, I could contact her reps and post the e-mail here, but honestly there is no need for that. This person pretending to be her obviously reads here and all the other Adriana forums. All the pictures that they post have been posted already and none of the pictures have been taken by them. They don't even know who their real husband is, claiming that Adriana's agent, Chris, is. That Miranda Kerr is probably a fake too. The only VS Angel that I've seen with an actual Twitter is Doutzen. Also, I'm sure if that was the real Miranda's Twitter, she wouldn't know if it was Adriana or not anyway because I'm sure that it's not the first thing they talk about when they see each other which probably isn't often. I'm going to contact her reps anyway because this is getting out of control. It's sad that they have to worry about things like this when I'm sure they have a million other things to deal with. What they need to do is give this person a warning or something to scare them.

    Your attitude unmerited. How are my points "silly?" when I stated more than once that I could be WRONG. That means that I am not stating these points as facts, rather as reasons that I believed the account to be authentic when I posted. Prior to that, no one stated any reason that it wasn't, just that it wasn't.

    Savanna has replied with her reasoning to believe that it is fake, and I believe Savanna as well.

    By writing as someone speaks, I meant the sentence structure. If my English is broken or is a second language, then the way that I write and speak may mimic one another. The grammar in the tweets is similar to the grammar in the autograph that I got from Adriana Lima in person. I hope that clarifies it for you.

    AngelAdriana is not self-indulgent IMO. I assumed it to be a tie-in to Victoria's Secret Angels.

    Actually, many celebrities are on Twitter, so why would Adriana Lima not be? Is she more prominent than Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore? When I mention Adriana Lima, most people ask, "Who?" Plus, she is human, and may have a Twitter account under an alias. I don't know that for a fact though, so I am not stating it as one. Don't attack. Simmer down, kid.

    Her reps have said that she doesn't have a MySpace, Twittter, etc.

    I've known about that twitter acct. for a while, and it seems pretty authentic to me. When did they say that she didn't have a Twitter account? Her first post was March 21, 2009.

    I could be 100% wrong, but it seems authentic to me because:

    1. She is following very few people - only industry people and Miranda Kerr, which is locked

    2. She thanked Kerr for a personal text message

    3. Her English is written the way Adriana speaks -- as if it's a second language

    4. She's rarely on Twitter, but her updates are of personal pics/news that haven't hit the web (that I know of - I don't scour Adriana stuff as much)

    e.g. I saw the pic of she and Marko in Belgrade on Twitter before here; The pic of her mom; Update after Darko's wedding

    I believe that's her. If not, maybe it's her rep writing on her behalf. But I don't see why any 20-something with an iPhone would not want to tweet. Bigger celebs do, so at this point until I am proven wrong, I believe that she does too, and that this is her account. Again, I could be wrong. If I am, I need to stop following that intruder :blush:

    I just downloaded an Adriana Lima app called SupaFan by Brighthouse Labs. Have you heard of it? If not, on your iPhone/iPod Touch, go to the Apps store and search for Adriana Lima. It's the only app that comes up. It's listed at 99 cents.

    well most likely because she's getting more offers than ever for posing during her pregnancy. She's getting offeres for several high fashion and commercial pregnancy shoots, she's continuing to work for VS, and she just resigned her vs contact last year, for 5 years so she's several more years of work under her belt.

    ^ I went perfume shopping a few weeks ago and Noir wasn't my favorite. :( I actually preferred their new Cashmere perfume. I ended up buying Rock Princess by Vera Wang, which I just adore!

    I bought the Noir fragrance just to get something really quick and get back in line Saturday (lol), but it's...eh. I agree with you.

    What only black girl? Selita? Adriana has African ancestry in her mixture, so I'm happy with her representation.

    Adriana and Marko met in 2006 at a humanitarian event in los angeles. He approached her but at the time she didn't wish to speak to him, he pursed her and after a while they were set up on a date by mutual friends. The two obviously hit it off and she started attending his games, and he even went to the 2007 VSFS to watch Dri. Speculation of the two dating came in late December. In Feb of 2008, Marko took Adriana to the bahamas for Valentines Day, and they continued dating. On June 12th, at her birthday party in NYC Marko asked her to marry him, but it was rumored that he had bought the ring way back in late March but was waiting for the perfect time to propose. The two had originally planned to wed in June of 2009 in Salvador, and what they originally announced and released to people. In 2008 (August) the two went to Croatia for a very public vacation where they were followed everywhere. Come 2009 in Feb (preg rumors started) in an interview at the Vintage Victoria Launch Adriana mentioned traveling to Jackson Hole, in which the two suddenly eloped. The two then came out and announced the news around the 25th of Feb, Adriana told "People" that they were planning a big ceremony in the summer in Salvador. Now that date has been pushed back to sometime this year...they are now having two weddings and that's the latest :) marko is currently in Serbia doing his own thing.

    Totally related/unrelated IMO they eloped because they did find out about the pregnancy, because IMO no one elopes 4 months before a wedding that she had been planning since August (She spoke about planning) then go and push back the date of the two weddings. IMO it's because she honestly doesn't want to look huge on her wedding day, and I'm guessing Marko was in Serbia to inform friends and family of the pregnancy. Which I think his timing of being there after this whole "told friends and family over the weekend" thing came out is way to convenient. My guess is they told there friends and family in the states, and then he was over in Serbia (Since her mom is currently in NYC)

    Oh gosh knows Gisele will be next and she'll announce it a week after Dri does so thunder is all kinds of stolen...Gisele always does that. Nothing against her but she always does.

    ALimaFan, she practically ran over to her seat! I was like "Damn, girl! It's going to be there when you get there." I think she was surprised to see that we were already in the room. She probably thought she would be able to sit down first and then we come in.

    Also, I don't know about the change of attire thing. I don't know why they do that. I don't know how it is for the other girls when they do signings. I know that the last signing Adri did with Doutzen, they had different outfits for press and then changed for the signing.

    'IF' she and Heidi aren't ready for the show, and there is no show...a lot of 'ifs' here...do you think Adriana will want to tour as a 1st time mom? I'm just wondering aloud. She's been gracing us with her loveliness since 14 years old. I say give the Mrs. an extended maternity leave even if it sends us into shivering bouts of withdrawl. :)

    Oh, and side note -- have you gotten a frame for your pic yet? I had to buy an 11x14 b/c the 8x10 frames are too small. It looks awesome on the wall. Where are you putting your's?

    General Inquiry...

    After speaking with Adriana yesterday, I couldn't contain myself and had to tell every random doorman in my building that I ran into. Even when I bought a frame for the autographed pic, I was oh so happy to tell the cashier all about it and put out a Facebook update. But to my moderate surprise, none of the guys (locally) that I spoke with have heard of her. Years ago I could see that, but now? She's like super major.

    Have you noticed an increase in peoples' recognition of Adriana Lima by name or face, or do you think that only the circle of her fans and fashion industry people (along with Marko's circle now) know her? What do you think?

    Adriana and Heidi will have to do some serious workouts to be in prime shape for the VS show this fall. We can't have a VS fashion show without Adriana (I could do without Heidi :p ).

    I wouldn't be interested in it without her either. Maybe she'll be with Marko in the audience this year. I'd watch for that.

    Okay so now that it's out I'll share what I noticed at the signing.

    I was at the front of the line and noticed that when she walked in for autographs, she was holding her stomach. Also, why change from the 'Cleopatra' outfit to black? Under normal circumstances I don't think a change of attire would have been done. Right?

    Then I saw her sit down extremely slowly and carefully like someone with an aching back...or a baby in the belly. I haven't been in the Lima news loop lately, but after reading the rumors here, then seeing THAT, I pretty much suspected that she was preggers.

    Yaay for she and Marko! That baby should be a bundle of cuteness :)

    Questions: When did she meet Marko? What was wrong with that Prince of Lechin..whatever guy? I think Marko's hotter than any of her ex bfs.
