Haven't seen the original either, but this way Hollywood is introducing the old classics to newer generations. SWEENY, I like that.

Not everything is a "conspiracy"... I know the modern mainstream media think so (BTW, they're an oligopoly as well...), it's just their new Pavlov reflex to say "conspiracy" all the time.
Not saying that you are right or wrong, but that made my brain hurt...

IMO Barbie was frickin' awesome..also the box-office numbers don't lie (also also 8 Oscar nominations including one win)
