She is from Breaux Bridge La. but currently lives in LA Calif. I don't know how far her hometown is from the hurricane damage. I haven't heard it mentioned on the news, so I assume everything is alright there.

Engagement rumors between the two are not true. They were interviewed on TV and was asked specifically if they were. She held up her hand and said 'see, no ring, not true. we have only been dating a few months.' She went on to say she was learning French because his whole family speaks it and she had to learn to be able to talk with them.

Ali lost quite a bit of weight last year after her marriage collapsed. She was looking very thin and actually unhealthy. In fact, I was quite worried about her. She now has a new guy in her life and seems to have 'put the pounds' back on that give her that healthy look that she looks best with.
