  1. I'm not sure if this is necessarily referring to me, as I do recall being very against the "evidence" that Candice was pregnant, but I just wanted to apologize if my statements made anyone feel dismissed or unable to express their opinions. I am a fierce advocate against health-related discussions pertaining to models, especially pregnancy rumors, because I find them to be potentially damaging to the self-esteem of the model and capable of creating body image issues if the model does not have a strong support system in place. Obviously, I doubt Candice reads these, but I would hate to see or read that people were speculating about me based off of photographs of my body. I would rather Candice directly confirm that she is pregnant, as she did, before I make any conclusions. Again, apologies if my passion was overbearing in any way!
  2. I'm laughing so hard about this! Candice is such a queen, surviving an epidemic while pregnant!
  3. How has nobody mentioned that Kelly Gale has been shooting with VS and shot with Martha a couple of days ago? If Alexina is rumored to be an Angel because she shot with some of the girls, wouldn't that same logic apply to Kelly? Personally I would LOVE Kelly as an Angel, much more than Alexina, who looks like the creature from Splice IMO...
  4. Round 16: Toni Garrn Round 17: Raica Oliveira Round 18: Jourdan Dunn
  5. Y'all, imagine if instead of the NAs, we had Adri, Ale, Candice, Bee, Lily, Jourdan, and Toni...
  6. Round #27 Jourdan Dunn (circa 2013 onwards) + "She's got more personality in one of her bones than all of the NA combined." Too accurate not to quote. Anne V would've been dope in 2011. Round #28 Toni Garrn (circa 2012 onwards) + Honestly the biggest missed opportunity, she could've replaced essentially every single NA and the line-up would've felt complete. Andrea would've been cool circa 2013) Round #29 Magdalena Frackowiak (circa 2011 - 2015) + Vita would have been great in 2015 if Elsa, Martha, Stella, and Romee didn't exist Round #30 Roosmarijn de Kok (circa 2018) + Never really liked Marloes Round #31 Raica Oliveira (no clue when I'd sign her, maybe 2007 - 2009) + Don't know much about her, but Lea seems really bland and Raica intrigues me

  8. Damn, Taylor, Stella, and Romee dropped significantly, as well as Josephine, even though she is still one of the top girls. Candice's is reasonable. So happy to see such a huge jump for Jasmine! Honestly, if the line-up was just Candice, Jasmine, Elsa, Lais, Sara, Adri, and Jo, I'd be so content. Jasmine could be huge if VS pushed her in campaigns the way they push Jo or Candice.
  9. ROUND #22 Emily Didonato (circa 2011 - 2013) + Cintia never really did it for me ROUND #23 Cris Urena (circa 2012 - 2014) + I prefer Julia in high fashion. ROUND #24 Gracie Carvalho (circa 2010 - 2015) + I would have love to see Nina do more print work for VS ROUND #25 Sui He (circa 2013 - 2017) + I think Robin could be a great Angel soon, but I gotta go with Asian diversity on this one. ROUND #26 Katsia Zingarevich (circa 2010 - 2011) + Love Frida and I think she gets more bombshell by the day, but Katsia should've been an Angel, at least for a year
  10. Yeah it's a no for me for Alexina. She's beautiful, but she makes the same weird ass face in every selfie she takes and honestly looks demon-like on the runway. Looking ahead to Feb/Mar/Apr, I would honestly be fine if VS dropped Lily, Stella, Behati, and Martha. 9 Angels is more than enough for the time being. Based off of how their final show would appear if they left now, I think Lily and Behati were given justice. I'd justify Martha's closing as a good send-off as well. Stella is the only one who'd be fucked over if she got booted now. That said, I don't expect her to impress me in the next years anyways. The way things will probably play out, I give Adri two more years, Candice three or four, and Lily anywhere between 1 and 1000 years. The NAs are more difficult to read. I expect Josephine, Taylor, and Romee to stay for at least 6 more years. I can see Jasmine, Elsa, Sara, and Lais all leaving sometime in the next four years. Stella has probably a maximum of two more years. Martha is unpredictable and I don't really care to pay attention to what she be doing.
  11. Gosh I've been so bad at checking these! Barbara Fialho: Wings: 8 Outfit: 9 Bella Hadid: Outfit: 7
  12. Romee only got one in her first show and became an Angel in the months following.
  13. Honestly, I'd love this concept. I'd probably put her FB closing the show. A Carnaval themed FB would be amazing and really special since it would tie in with her Brazilian heritage. Knowing how VS just did Alessandra so dirty by taking out her closing, I wouldn't surprised if Martha and Stella get a duo FB in 2020, Kaia Gerber gets the SO in her first show, and all the segments are about Josephine.
  14. I'm fairly certain Joan Smalls was offered a contract around 2011 - 2012, but turned it down. She was ranked #1 on models.com at the time, so she probably was pursuing higher fashion. Emanuela de Paula was supposed to be contracted with Candice, Rosie, Chanel, Erin, and Lily, but it never happened. I'm not sure if this is entirely accurate, but I have heard Maryna Linchuk was offered the role once. Not sure when or if it actually happened, but presumably around the end of the 2000s to the beginning of the 2010s.
  15. According to her, she felt as if the company was only using her as "a piece of meat" and essentially found her role as a spokesmodel very demeaning and controlling. She complained to Glamour that she felt as though her voice was silenced and she wasn't able to advocate for herself and truly showcase her own personality. She defined herself as being too "rebellious" for the brand's image, which prompted her exit. Whether she left or the brand kicked her out isn't clear, but it didn't affect her high fashion career.
  16. So mysterious! I tried to scour old Bellazon posts about her but came up short. Not as easy to figure out as you made it out to be. Guess I'll never know. I respect her privacy though.
  17. I forgot how bad Stephanie's breakdown really was. Which part is false about the Marisa part? Her interview with Ocean Drive states essentially everything that I mentioned.
  18. I originally had her pegged down as walking until 2020, but she states in the People's article that she plans on walking for "at least two more years. (Maybe more )" I think she counts the Angel Tour of 2004 as a show lmao. Silly Adri! I'm hoping for a blowout show in 2020. They could advertise the shit out of the 25th anniversary and bring back some older models. Giving Adri the spotlight and recognizing it as her final show would draw more viewers in. VS loves Adri and, even though I loved Ale's show closing, they definitely will go all out for Adri's final show, unlike Ale's. Watch them make all the 2020 interlude interviews about Adriana. One being her story, another about her family and have Ale, Lais, Candice, and Lily talk about how great of a mom she is, and finally one with Josephine crying about how Adriana was her idol growing up and she never would've been able to dream about going from a model to waking up as an angel had she not had someone like Adriana to look up to.
  19. Helena Christensen terminated her contract in 1998. She was already a bonafide supermodel at the time. Chandra North was only contracted for a show to fill in for Helena Christensen. Ines Rivero's contract most likely only lasted a year. She remained walking for two years following her contract ending, but gave birth in 2001 and took a step back from modeling. Karen Mulder retired from modeling in 2000 and later revealed personal issues stemming from mental illness, which may have contributed to her decision to leave the public eye. Stephanie Seymour ended her contract in 2000 and sought treatment for a Vicodin addiction and alcoholism in the ensuing months, so probably due to personal issues. Daniela Pestova gave birth in 2002, so she most likely ended her contract to focus on her family. She did SI after, but that's less of a time commitment. Tyra Banks wanted to focus on America's Next Top Model and effectively retired from modeling full-time, although she occasionally appears in commercial advertisements. Gisele Bundchen basically called the shots in her career by the time she ended her contract. Naomi stated earlier that she had been offered an Angel contract, but refused because she was worth too much. I assume that was how things played out with Gisele during her contract negotiations in 2006. Izabel Goulart was offered more lucrative deals in high fashion (Armani offered her more money). She maintained good relationships with VS, which helped her continue to walk for the next decade. Selita Ebanks did not renew her contract in early 2009. She returned for the 2009 and 2010, but was rumored to have been rejected during castings for the 2012 show. It doesn't seem like she had a great relationship with the brand towards the end of her career. She also is known to have a temper, having punched another model in the face in 2012, which may have resulted in her rejection during castings that year. Karolina Kurkova also ended her contract around the same time. Having just given birth, I think the time commitment excuse makes sense here as well. She returned for the 2010 show and got a proper send-off in receiving the closing for Wild Things. Heidi Klum ended her contract on her own terms. Both she and VS parted ways amicably. She does tons of entertainment jobs and probably wanted to focus on those and her growing family. Marisa Miller was rumored to have been fired in 2009, but it was confirmed in 2010 that she negotiated out of her contract, in order to focus on different business endeavors. She was quoted stating that, in modern times, supermodels needed to become brands themselves, so she chose to focus on more individualized efforts, which included partnering with Harley Davidson and several projects that supported the US military. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley was interested in pursuing more acting jobs, including the Transformers movie, which conflicted with her Angel contract. Chanel Iman was rumored to be difficult to work with and to ignore requests from the brand to lose weight. Likewise, she was not considered to be a top seller and the brand terminated their contract with her. Miranda Kerr wanted to spend more time with her son, which had been difficult to do with the demands of her contract. There were rumors that she was difficult to work with, but Ed himself stated that Miranda had been responsible for ending her contract on her own terms. Erin Heatherton confirmed in 2016 that the intense demands to lose weight became too much for her and she decided she could no longer advertise the body that contributed to her career as being healthy. Erin's relationship with VS seemed to end sourly, which can be inferred based off of how poorly they treated her during the 2012 VS Fashion Show, but she maintains that they ended on good terms and the decision was respected. Doutzen Kroes was offered more lucrative deals in Europe (presumably for Hunkemöller). Likewise, she wanted to continue to explore new opportunities, including expanding her acting career, which would later see her starring in Wonder Woman. Doutzen had exploded in 2013 in the high fashion world, which most likely allowed her to negotiate out of her contract easily. Karlie Kloss also left in 2014, in order to finish her education and return to high fashion modeling. She did make her comeback in 2017 and may continue to walk, like Iza did. Lindsay Ellingson never announced why she chose to leave the brand, but had previously mentioned how she did not plan on modeling forever and desired to venture into business. She co-founded Wander Beauty, a make-up and skincare company in 2015, following her final appearance in the VS Fashion Show. Lindsay and the brand probably agreed that her time was up. Kate Grigoreva ended her contract because she had a limited grasp of the English language, which made being a spokesmodel extremely difficult for her. Nevertheless, following the termination of her contract after a year, she continued to be cast in the show. Monika Jagaciak has alluded to developing an illness, which put her out of modeling for at least a year. Her contract was likely terminated on the basis of her being unable to commit to the position. She is rumored to still be contracted for one more show, but it may have expired. Alessandra Ambrosio chose to pursue a career in acting, amicably cutting ties with the brand following the 2017 VS Show.
  20. Martha actually has 3, she also covered Vogue Thailand in August 2014.
  21. Can anyone confirm when this was taken? If it was recently, I'm sorry for all of you obsessive, self-appointed medical professionals, but ya girl is not expecting.
  22. Here's my thoughts on the 2018 Fantasy Bra: OPTION A) ADRIANA LIMA According to People Magazine, Adriana wants to go for two more years, in order to walk at least 20 shows. Seeing how she IS Victoria's Secret, I would assume that she would get at least one more Fantasy Bra before her time is up. However, #4 will probably be for her last show, which won't happen until 2019. Unless something drastic happens and she chooses to end her contract earlier, I would rule her out. OPTION B) BEHATI PRINSLOO Honestly, I think Behati is done with VS. She seems content with her family and I don't see her pushing herself to come back to modeling. No Angel has taken this much time off from their contracted job. Her only hope is if she gives birth (presumably by February) and works out relentlessly to get her body ready for the molding of the FB. Seeing how she'll probably be breast-feeding and her body has essentially no chance of staying consistent with the strict measurements the bra requires, I would rule her out. If she does come back by next summer and works her ass off for that coming year, I believe she could nab the 2019 FB, if Adri stays for a year after. If not, her best chance is 2020, if she sticks around long. It's a no for 2018 though. OPTION C) CANDICE SWANEPOEL Candice is the defining angel of the 2010s. 2013 was one of the best FBs and her walk proves she can definitely handle one. It'll be 5 years since the last time she wore one, so she is certainly a viable option for 2018. She's getting older, but I think VS is intent on giving the New Angels their shots. Seeing how strong she is as a spokesmodel and the fame she brings to the brand, I wouldn't be surprised if she nabs another one, but I wouldn't put her as the top choice right now. If Behati doesn't come back, the line-up drops a few of the New Angels, and both she and Adriana stay longer, I can see Candice getting her well-deserved second. Whether that be 2018 or 2022, we'll see. OPTION D) LILY ALDRIDGE The brand loves her. Her pictures are amazing. Her spokesperson abilities are wonderful. Unfortunately, her walk is shit. Her FB was lackluster and she got it during the worst VS show in history. I think Lily is a one and done kinda FB girl. I'd rather let Kendull come crawling back to the show than see her with another one, tbh. OPTION E) ELSA HOSK She was thought to be the shoe-in for this year. She's my top pick for next year. Alessandra got the show opening in 2009, SO in 2011, then the FB in 2012, so it is entirely possible for her to get back-to-back special treatment. Seeing how much the brand seems to be loving on her, if she keeps her work consistent, she should be one of the top choices next year. OPTION F) LAIS RIBEIRO As much as I would love double Lais, it has never happened and, based off of how comparative the positive reaction to her bra was to Candice's, it seems like she will have to wait some time for another one. OPTION G) JASMINE TOOKES Honestly, I'd be fine if this girl got the FB every year. She's back in the running for another one, but I'd keep her on the same level as Candice right now. I see Jasmine as a long-lasting Angel, so I'm sure she'll get another one, but maybe not in 2018. OPTION H) JOSEPHINE SKRIVER Josephine is, arguably, the new Candice, in terms of usage and fan favoritism. She is at the top of her game and is most definitely a strong contender for the FB. I personally wouldn't give her the 2018 one, but she's definitely a force in the industry and deserves it if she gets it. OPTION I) MARTHA HUNT Martha hasn't really delivered a strong performance since 2014 / 2015's SO, nor is she used frequently in advertising. Unless she steps up her game in the next couple of months, I can't see her ever getting a FB. Unless VS is planning to build her up to a bigger contributor, I don't see her as a contender for next year's FB. OPTION J) ROMEE STRIJD Romee is definitely on her way up, both within VS and in the high fashion and public world. She is still young, so she has time, but VS loves her and she is used frequently in commercials and adverts. I would hold off until the 2020s, but VS is unpredictable and she might show up with one next year. However, I think they'd give her something like the SO before she got the FB> OPTION K) SARA SAMPAIO This bombshell is frequently looked over by VS and given the short end of the straw in most situations. However, the same could be said about Lais prior to 2017. She is one of the better NAs and could be so big if VS uses her well enough. I see her getting one in the next few years. Maybe not the 2018 one, but no doubt the 2019 one at the earliest. She's still one of the picks I have for being a top contender. OPTION L) STELLA MAXWELL She was thought to be a front runner this year, but all of the hype settled and Lais ended up surprising everyone. Seeing how VS has begun to use her less and less, I think it would be more likely for her contract to end than for her to get the 2018 FB. OPTION M) TAYLOR HILL She's definitely one of the bigger names within the brand, but has never really come up in the conversation when discussing FBs. She's the true wildcard of the brand. Rankings: Class A: Elsa Hosk, Josephine Skriver, Sara Sampaio Class B: Candice Swanepoel, Jasmine Tookes, Romee Strijd, Taylor Hill Class C: Adriana Lima, Martha Hunt, Stella Maxwell Class D: Behati Prinsloo, Lais Ribeiro, Lily Aldridge Dream FB Line-Up: (based off of what I see as tangible) 2018: Elsa 2019: Adriana (#4) 2020: Sara 2021: Candice (#2), Jasmine (#2), or Lais (#2) 2022: Josephine 2023: Romee or Taylor * Josephine could go in 2021, with Candice, Jasmine, or Lais taking 2022. Seeing that 2020 is the 25th anniversary, I would love to see Adri stay one more year (with Sara getting the 2019 FB) and close the whole show with her FB.
  23. Doutzen Kroes
