Congratulations to Hannah! She is the PERFECT Sports Illustrated girl! American, athletic, natural and beautiful. I agree she doesn't need the photoshop at ALL but that's the trend these days. I can't wait to see the rest, I love her smiling shots the most.

Gigi has been modeling all her life because of her family connections. I just personally find a girl with a privileged Hollywood childhood less interesting. Sports Illustrated is one of the only ways for a model to really break out and become a star and a big moneymaker and I like to see it go to girls who aren't already born with trust fund. :-)

Well, I hope it's not Gigi. I am really not into the kids-of-reality-tv-stars thing. I am most excited about Hailey, Erin and Rose out of the rookies and Hannah D and Hannah F out of the returning girls.

Why are you so sure the cover was shot in Hawaii? Just curious.

My bet for cover would be Lily (Nashville, Kings of Leon, VS success) or Hannah Davis (inset theory, dating Derek Jeter, the biggest sports story/hero of the year) I see those as the only possibilities.

Davis, a model for Ralph Lauren who has been seeing Derek Jeter, will make her debut in this year’s Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. The shoots have just wrapped up, and we’re told green-eyed Davis, 22, made a “rare, huge first impression” on the SI editors for her rookie issue. Sources told us Davis could even be one of the beauties in the running for this year’s cover. Davis, who was born in the Virgin Islands, has appeared in Elle Mexico and ads for Victoria’s Secret and Tommy Hilfiger. Page Six spotted Davis and the Yankee shortstop out clubbing over the summer and meeting at the Gramercy Park Hotel in December.
