Vanessaaa, Agreed, the CELEB factor is the case on that one. The Candice promotion is the obvious on this one Marisa is more the Icon of that society anyone, not on the practical day to day like the other girls need to be to get "noticed".

Brock and Mbin- Wanna know something really interesting about that Esquire voting.... Well here is my take. Thursday I ran across the voting thing last week, and Brock was right, Marisa was up 38,000 votes to Candice 22,000 votes... as of last thursday, I went ahead and voted on my homes computer this morning for fun and to my SHOCK, Marisa some how declined in votes??/ Magically.... then I realized that this candice girl did some video promo that esquire sponsored, paid for, or created "just" for Esquire magazine. Seems like someone has a particular motive to have this other girl win... not to mention the votes some how dropped by almost 10,000 in the modpoll.com calculation over friday till now. I mean come on, have some class esquire. Seems like the Iraqi voting system is taking shape in the offices of Esquire. Have some integrity. But agreed with Mbineri-- let all those Candice chasers, triple click. Not like this the hot 100 or anything or the world's sexy women, it is some wanna be make-shift copycat list. but I thought it was very interesting to see the calculations some how shift backwards for Marisa.... wish I took a screen cap then. Just didn't think I'd have to even write a email outlining such conspiracies.... and note next to her name*****see esquire.com/candice-video come on, try to make it not look too obvious Esquire!!!! How stupid do you think we all are?

Pink, I totally agree and it makes the most sense. I figure they will be using Marisa on the bigger print campaigns and the show, as your probably right, they couldn't afford her anymore doing the day to day stuff. Plus the new term "supermodel" is more like a equal opportunity slogan for the brand then a branding image like it use to be as "angel." Either way- i love Marisa's looks and her images old or new. They are just spectacular and rest assure if VS is saving $$ on these "newbies" and if Marisa still wants to work with them then she will. And your right those new girls are trying to say they are angels.... but your dead on.. they are saying that, NOT VS.

Hey all:: why keep harping on this issue about VS. I think what is missing is this: Marisa Miller and all the top talent under VS aren't called "Angels" anymore. They are called "Supermodels". See VS all access. To me, I think the reason is maybe they changed up the style or marketing. Think about it. They have like 5 new girls and probably none of them are even getting close to what these girls use to get paid or make. (Just a thought) What is the most recent thing you have seen a Victoria Secret model product or image that is calling anyone an angel in 2010, in store, online or within the "new marketing"? The funny thing I think overall is that VS All Access use to call all the girls "angels" and then right before the new year they switched it to "super models"? Mmmmmmm, maybe nobody is under contract anymore? Would make sense... Why else would they change it. I agree with PinkC, who really cares any more. Marisa has been doing VS for about 10 years as her PR firm stated. VS isn't the top line, and can only get you so far. In my eyes who really cares anymore. Who wants to be 1 of 7 girls, that don't hold a name or brand. Sorta scary. Sorta like being Kobe playing on the JV Squad.

Not to mention getting every single magazine cover that no model in our history has gotten or even been asked to do, and being heavily used in commercials, network TV and on every Late Night TV show. Plus representing big companies other then fashion and Clothing companies, (hence face of Harley Davidson). Pretty much being a Super Model turned Celebrity. Shape Mag, Cosmo, Maxim, and being in every single celeb mag every week, without some company buying the placement based on a product. Marisa is truly the most current famous Super Model of our time that continues to stay on top. She is in my personal top 5. Can't wait to watch Direct TV. My Neighbor has DTV, so I am going over tomorrow to catch this!!! :drool:

Hi All- Honestly- what happened to the VS fashion show?? Sort of scary how the show is nothing more then a weak attempt at creating a reality TV. I know that we did see our girl Marisa, and to be real, she was in it alot and of course looked amazing! I guess my issue is how crappy the show was. Sort of the "Death of the VS fashion show", a final sign off to something cool and creative, it was bad reality TV. :evil:

Hey all, did you see Marisa's new blog, it is INSANE, well done and super cool and catchy to the eye.... Some never seen before pictures.. I hope you all can see it. I wish I could learn to pull and post, or they would be all up here right now!!!

So you all know...those random models that were posted in this along with Marisa weren't even part of Marisa's event during the SHAPE magazine release of her June cover. That set up what huge and the event was a super success for Marisa, the line was like hundreds long I heard, awaiting for her signature. These hitty ladies were set up across the entire lot, in a different section of the event. :wave:

Yo- Marisa is super hot man, and I heard she was on Extra today, that airs this week, and the daily 10 for E!. I saw some video of her on E! news last night on TV. She looks amazing and honestly, it is about time we have an american super model running the game, then those EURO ladies. Personally- I am proud to be american with Marisa Miller running the gamut.
