  2. Like I said this is just a theory, not a fact.
  3. I don't think it's fair to judge and play a silly guessing game about someone and their personal relationship if you don't personally know them. Because the fact is you don't know any truth unless you are someone close to them. I think it's simply narrow minded and ignorant to make Shanina sound like the bad guy, when in reality you know little about her. I don't know, that's just me. I could not have such a bad opinion of someone simply buy guessing this is what they did, none of what you said is a fact. But sure you are intiteled to an opinion also.
  4. Wooo Finally had some time to flick through my copy of this months Vogue and Shanina got an interview feature in Australian VOGUE also, this will be great for business i think I though I would scan for you all, sorry if its not the best quality. my own scan
  5. Tyson Beckford’s Girlfriend Says He’s ‘In The Dog House’ For Jerky Comments by Verena von Pfetten | 3:23 pm, March 29th, 2012 Tyson Beckford made some internet waves earlier this week after he told the U.K.’s Evening Standard that he “created” his girlfriend, 21-year-old Victoria’s Secret model Shanina Shaik. Now Shaik is speaking up and while’s she’s not happy, she certainly isn’t as outraged as the rest of us. Here’s what Beckford originally said: “When I found her she was a regular girl. I helped place her with the right people, get her teeth cleaned, her body toned up… Everything changed and now everyone wants a piece of her. I hear people say, ‘You can do better than Tyson.’ I’m like, ‘Really? Really?! I created her!’?” First, in an interview with Frockwriter, Shaik argued that her male supermodel boyfriend didn’t actually have all that much to do with her success. To what degree do you think Tyson Beckford may have inadvertently helped your career by virtue of his media profile and the celebrity factor? I don’t think so. Tyson and I really keep our work separate and every now and then we’ll go to events together. Sometimes we’re just trying to make time together, because I work so much. Sometimes I say ‘You’ve contributed to it’. But everything that I do with my work is separate. And also I never asked him for any help on anything. He just supports me and that’s all I want. GlobalGrind also caught up with Shaik, who told them exactly how she felt about Beckford’s interview: “I did not take his comments seriously. He has always supported me. But he did not make me. My mother made me… He’s in the dog house, but I’ll let him out if he’s good.” Good for her. But if that were us, he’d be in that dog house for good. [Frockwriter, GlobalGrind]

  7. This was during her stint on MMASM Australia. I think it was one of their challanges or whatever they call it on the show.
  8. I don't know what to make of this, sounds like damage control. No idea what he means by lost in translation since it was an English interview. But hoping his apology came from the heart, I hope Shanina is ok because any woman deserves better then this, poor lady. "@TysonCBeckford: Recently a interview was done that my words got lost in translation, just never know how it will come out,I apologized to 1 lady that matters"
  9. Don't do this, girl! Don't degrade yourself anymore I'm affraid I will start to think she's not that into serious fashion What do you mean? How is she degrading herself, she has to make some kind of a statement about it. Who else will defend her if she doesn't. I bet Tyson won't issue a public apology. I really hope this doesn't take away the buzz of her appearing in the next issue of VOGUE

  14. 'I've done 500 squats in a day' SHANINA Shaik is the first to admit it takes hard work to get her body catwalk ready. The 20-year-old New York Fashion Week model shares her body secrets with Liz Graham. In a few days, the who’s who of fashion and modelling will be watching Shanina Shaik as she walks down the catwalk during New York Fashion Week. Chances are they will be impressed with what they see. The 20-year-old Australian model has already turned heads in the industry. Her fans include Vogue Australia editor Kirstie Clements, who tweeted last month that Shaik is “one of the most beautiful girls I’ve ever seen”, and compared her to supermodels Angie Harmon, Christy Turlington and Naomi Campbell. Born and raised in Melbourne, Shaik was runner-up on Australia’s TV modelling competition Make Me A Supermodel in 2008. Since then, she has moved to New York and has been modelling on the catwalk as well as for magazines and advertising. Most recently, she became the youth ambassador for Australian underwear label Bonds and walked the catwalk for Chanel in Paris. Her biggest job to date, however, has been her appearance at the 2011 Victoria’s Secret show, the lingerie extravaganza which is televised to millions around the world and helped launch Miranda Kerr to international stardom. -- Workout secrets Shaik says to get the Victoria’s Secret gig, she had to become more muscular. “I’m naturally thin, so I really worked hard to do something different with my body,” she says. “I did Zumba once a week and weights twice a week.” Her favourite exercise for muscle toning is the squat. “Squats can change your body overnight. You’re toning your legs and bum, but also working your core,” Shaik says. “It’s about technique. You have to go slow.” Shaik says doing 100 squats a session will produce a difference, but the most she has done in one sitting is 500. “I did those using weights,” she says. “Every 20 squats, I’d alternate with 10 bicep curls. You could really see the muscle in my legs at the show.” These days, Shaik still does squats and Zumba on a regular basis but isn’t so hell-bent on muscle tone. When she is not travelling for work, her favourite workout is running along the Hudson River in New York. “Running outside works your body a lot more than on a treadmill,” she says. -- Diet and beauty tips Shaik follows a high-protein, low-carb diet. “I eat a lot of fish, eggs, chicken, vegetables, salad and brown rice,” she says. Breakfast is normally yoghurt and muesli, or an eggwhite omelette with spinach. “Sometimes it’s hard with travelling to fit in big meals, so I tend to snack throughout the day,” she says. “I also try not to have a late dinner.” Shaik doesn’t drink soft drinks or coffee and sticks to water and fruit juices. She keeps pasta and ice-cream as “every-now-and-then” indulgences. She is in an aeroplane at least once a week for work, so there is no avoiding airline food, but she says the secret is to eat the protein and veg in the middle of the plate and avoid the rest. Her exotic features are due to her Lithuanian, Australian, Pakistani and Saudi Arabian roots, but she says baby oil and a high-quality face moisturiser help keep her skin in great condition. “Using Johnson’s Baby Oil straight out of the shower is really good,” she says. “It stays in your skin for 24 hours. My boyfriend [uS model Tyson Beckford] uses it too, and he looks great. I also use Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream.” Shaik keeps her make-up simple and says mascara and lip gloss are essential. “I use Maybelline New York Great Lash, and Laura Mercier’s Stick Gloss looks like a gloss and lipstick at the same time.” -- How to do the perfect squat b+s trainer Damien Kelly says: “Stand with feet shoulder-width apart and raise your arms to shoulder height. Engage your core and bend your knees as though you are about to sit down in a chair, keeping the weight in your heels. Aim to lower your butt to below knee level.” adelaidenow.com.au
