Born in St. Petersburg, the Russian Federation, on August 18th 1990, Anya Kazakova is a Russian fashion model known for her prominent cheekbones and noticeably long legs. Kazakova measures 5’10’’ in height but is often mistaken for being much taller, has light brown hair, blue eyes, and measures 32 bust, 23 waist, 33.5 hips with a size 7 shoe and size 2 dress. [1]

Kazakova’s modeling career began in 2008 when she was signed with Storm Management in London and Marilyn Agency in New York. She made something of an immediate impression on the fashion industry and in September of the same year she was featured on Models.com as part of a story highlighting fashion’s best newcomers.

Kazakova made her debut on the runway the very same month when she opened the Calvin Klein spring show in New York and also walked during that week for Marc Jacobs and Diesel. She continued this growing popularity with the fashion industry’s leading brands and houses in Milan and Paris in 2008 where she opened the spring shows for Anne Valeria Hash, Just Cavalli and Giambattista Valli and closed for Cacharel. Kazakova’s successful introduction to the modeling world was confirmed towards the end of the year when she was listed as one of Style.com’s top ten newcomers of the season, and this publicity lead to the model being chosen to walk for the Chanel Paris-Moscow collection in Russia that December.

After her initial success on fashion week runways, Kazakova began to make equally large strides in the print side of the industry. The models’ first cover came in Wonderland magazine photographed by Simon Thiselton, and shortly after she became one of the faces of Balenciaga, photographed by David Sims. Kazakova has appeared in a number of other high profile publications since 2009 including an editorial in Teen Vogue and an editorial in British Harper’s Bazaar, and she has also featured in many ad campaigns including Barbara Bui’s 2010 spring collection and Dolce & Gabbana’s 2010 fall collection, as well as becoming the face of Bottega Veneta.

Interspersed with these print engagements however, has always been Kazakova’s esteem and reputation on the runway, with her sought-after legs booking her job after job at fashion week’s across the globe. In February 2009 she opened and closed shows in Milan and Paris for Iceberg, Jeremy Scott and Barbara Bui, and the following September walked in spring shows for Chloe, Yves, Saint Laurent, Marni, Balenciaga and Bottega Veneta.
