You can still retrieve HQ pics from the website in a similar manner...just copy the link address from a thumbnail version of the pics on the site, then paste them into the address bar, and replace "tmblg3" with "prodzoom" to get the HQ version.

Example:

before: http://media.victoriassecret.com/product/tmblg3/V302555.jpg

after: http://media.victoriassecret.com/product/p...oom/V302555.jpg

The only problem now is...there is no easy/efficient way to navigate through all of the pics that VS doesn't have posted on their website. The vsbrowser no longer works because of one small problem (at least I think this is the problem): the image addresses/locations now contain the word "media" in them, which I don't believe they used to. The vsbrowser is set to look up images from addresses that don't contain that word (example: http://victoriassecret.com/product/tmblg3/V302555.jpg). A broken image file is shown instead in the vsbrowser.

Does anyone know of another way to navigate vs' unposted pics efficiently? (efficiently meaning that you don't have to type and retype every single number individually to look the images). Or does anyone know to create their own HTML image browser for the website?

Hey nightlife how do you get those Hq pics? the old trick seems to not work anymore

That´s not a trick to get the HQs and you can still get them

Victoria´s secret changed only the entire url-address on Friday which means

that the altavista-search-browser for VS-Pics doesn´t work anymore.

Sample

This was the old VS-entire-url-address: www2.victoriassecret.com/images/..........

This is the new VS-entire-url-address: http://media.victoriassecret.com/product/...........

Please note: Not www.media but http://media !!!!

All other procedure is the same as before.

Sample

Small VS-Pic: http://media.victoriassecret.com/product/tmblg3/V303313.jpg

Now change only /tmblg3/ into /prodzoom/

HQ VS-Pic: http://media.victoriassecret.com/product/p...oom/V303313.jpg

As you can see we have alot of experts here on board  ziggurat234 you beat me

Haha, what can I say Matute...I probably picked up my knowledge from someone else on this site, but I don't mind being thought of as an expert! So thank you, heh.

Also, vatras, I started trying the excel method, but excel won't let me do the whole "type in two or three items from a list, then highlight and drag down to automatically add the next items in the list" thingeroo...I still have to edit each entry invididually. It just repeats the 3 items I already typed in, likely because they are hyperlinks. Am I doing something wrong?

The VS browser still works. You just have to change the source code.

1. Save the VS browser webpage to your harddrive.

2. Open up the source code from the page you saved for editing.

3. Everywhere you see http://www2.victoriassecret.com/images/prodlgvw/ in the javascript code, change it to http://media.victoriassecret.com/product/prodzoom/. This is the only thing that needs to be changed. Don't bother anything else.

4. Save the source code.

5. Open the webpage. Open up the page you saved, not the page directly from the altervista site.

6. Type a picture number (such as 300000), click show image.

If you do all of this correctly, then the browser should work fine for you. You obviously have to be connected to the internet for it to work, but you'll essentially be browsing from a page off of your own hard drive, not a page on someone else's server. I suppose someone can upload the web page onto their own server at a later date. I can't be bothered to do it since I rarely use the browser myself. A screenshot of what the browser looks like from my harddrive.

A couple of notes:

1. I use IE to browse, so if the script works differently in Firefox or something else, I can't help you.

2. Look at my address bar. I'm not browsing from the altervista site. I'm browsing from the page that I saved in one of my own folders.

3. Personally, I don't use the VS browser anymore. I don't find it to be efficient at all. I posted in the Miranda thread a long time ago how I get pictures, and it's not by clicking one at a time.

You have too many attachments in a row. Just upload the attachments as normal and publish the post. You don't have to insert the pictures into the post one by one. If you do that, then you can't put more than two or three in a row before the code goes wacky and looks the way yours does.

Edit your post and press enter after every second or third attachment to start it on a new line.

You rock Tori - thanks so much for the explanation! Sorry to bug ya over the whole thing.

But seriously, I consider myself fairly computer-savvy and somehow I didn't know I could edit someone else's source code and view it in my own browser. YAY ME. Anyway thanks again!

EDMONTON — Underwear sales in Edmonton will be uplifted next month when Victoria’s Secret supermodel Candice Swanepoel launches the retailer’s first Canadian store on Aug. 12.

The South African model — one of the “Victoria’s Secret Angels” representing the lingerie line — will cut a ribbon and sign autographs from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. as the 17,994-square-foot store opens officially.

The retailer says customers who buy $100 or more will face shorter waits for an autograph from Swanepoel, who has appeared in Cosmopolitan, Glamour, Italian Vogue and South African GQ and on the cover of Greek Vogue, German Elle, Ocean Drive and GQ South Africa.

An executive of Limited Brands Inc., which owns Victoria’s Secret, recently predicted “chaos” at the store’s opening. “I expect there will be lines of people all around the mall waiting for the opening of this store,” said Martin Waters, president of Limited’s international division, in an April interview.

The store will carry Victoria’s Secret intimates, swimwear, beauty products and also its PINK line, aimed at “collegiate” women.

While there are six PINK outlets in Ontario, the West Edmonton Mall store will be the first Victoria’s Secret in Canada.

Victoria’s Secret plans on opening four stores in Canada this year. Edmonton’s will be the only western Canadian shop.

Canadian women have long crossed the border to the United States or shopped through catalogues for the company’s products.
