It was during a one-day class while studying art foundation at the age of 17 that he was able to pick up a camera for the first time and enter a dark room. One of the last students to be educated in analogue, Benjamin studied photography at the University of the Arts (London), following a 3-year degree course under the tutorage of Mark Lebon.
