I think y’all are onto something with VS looking for more commercial girls with higher social media followings. I’m looking at some of these girls and I’ve never heard of them before but they’ve got high IG numbers.

ex) Dilan Dinez is a Turkish pageant queen/actress with barely any legit modeling work but 2.1 mil followers and she was invited to castings.

Conversely, some girls have less than 1.5k followers and barely manage to get over 100 likes on photos. They could be just broadening the range.

 

Speaking of broadening their range... Valentina Sampaio (the first transgender model to cover Vogue Paris) was at castings today!

She is most likely going to be going directly to callbacks, which are in two to three days away. She has plenty of time to hop on a plane and fly back for her casting. Most models who have walked the show before (besides Megan Puleri and Malaika Firth) are invited straight to callbacks.

I have a theory that VS is having callbacks for everything.

 

Callbacks for initial castings, callbacks for callbacks. Maybe that's why we got vets doing castings too.

An IG account (@vsfsupdates to be exact) confirmed that she would not be attending. They are usually pretty accurate and have had communications with Bregje before, which makes it believable. I guess you could say that there is a small chance that she shows up at callbacks in a couple of days, but only time will tell.

Seems like some of the veterans DGAF about it any more, such as BBI, Isabeli, Bregje? Maybe last year’s rejections of the regulars was a final straw? I wonder if we will see the Jablonskis or Maryna or Lily D and Joan go to castings next week. (Also Grace Mahary is on holiday so I’m not sure she’ll go to castings which is a shame because she looks amazing right now).
