Models in Movies

Shanina Shaik appeared alongside Steve Coogan in Greed earlier this year, although in fairness, a fairly decorative role in a satire of fast fashion billionaires probably wouldn't have been the biggest stretch.

Awfully cool of you to post such an extensive list. :)

I've only seen about half a dozen of the films mentioned there so I must confess, I'm not altogether sure of how big some of them were. Who would you say gave the best performances?

I can add couple more to that list:

- Doutzen Kroes in "Wonder Woman", 2017
- Abbey Lee Kershaw in "Mad Max: Fury Road", 2011 and "Gods Of Egypt", 2016

- Famke Janssen in "X-Men", "Goldeneye", 1995 and "Deep Rising", 1998

- Stephanie Seymour in "Pollock", 2000

- Kelly LeBrock in "Weird Science", 1985

- Kelly Brook in "Three", 2005

- Devon Aoki in "2 Fast 2 Furious", 2003

- Kristanna Loken in "Terminator 3", 2003

- Josie Maran in "Van Helsing", 2004

- Michaela Bercu in "Bram Stoker's Dracula", 1992

- Shalom Harlow in "Vanilla Sky", 2001

;)

I also want to mention the girls, who started as models, but turned actresses :
Milla Jovovich, Tricia Helfer, Rebecca Romijn, Angie Everhart, Rene Russo, Gal Gadot, Katrina Kajf, Diane Kruger, Andie McDowell, Monica Belluci, Isabella Rosselini, Estella Warren

And let's not forget the guys!

Djimon Hounsou (I cannot wait to see him in a "Quiet Place 2"!), Mark Wahlberg, Jamie Dornan, Ian Somerhalder, Josh Duhamel, Tyson Beckford, Joel West, Rusty Joiner, Boris Codjoe

Laetitia Casta is great . I loved Amber Valetta too and I liked her in a soap opera "Revenge". My favourite probably was Patricia Velasquez as Anck-Su-Namun in ''The Mummy Returns". :)

A number appear in Nicolas Winding Refn's works with Neon Demon, and Too Old to Die Young as well.

With Neon Demon, having Abbey Lee, Taylor Hill, and Georgia Fowler.

And with Too Old to Die Young having Taylor Hill I think a significant enough part in 2 episodes.

Fifth Element is easily in the top ten most quotable films of all time for me, and straight-up one of my favourites.

At one time when my Hubs was sick in bed, I “ambushed” him into watching it with me and we both love it.

We still quote from it too.

(he says I ambushed him because I brought it home from the video store and didn’t tell him what it was until after I got the movie into the player. )

(slightly off topic, have y’all seen Leon: the Professional? It’s also a Luc Besson movie)
