Ronaldo's Turkish temptation

Milan have rejected a £7m bid for Ronaldo from Fenerbahce and will do the same for Real Madrid’s £54m Kaka swoop.

The Rossoneri are champions of Europe and can afford to keep their top stars, so this summer Vice-President Adriano Galliani has turned down all comers.

Ronaldo only joined the club in January from Real for around £5.7m, but from next season will also be available for the Champions League.

According to Spanish newspaper ‘As,’ Fenerbahce have offered £7m to take Il Fenomeno to Turkey and a three-year contract worth an impressive £4.7m net.

He would be reunited with fellow Brazilian and ex-Real Madrid and Inter teammate Roberto Carlos, but Milan have already rejected the proposal.

In fact, talks are already on to extend Ronie’s Rossoneri contract until June 30, 2009.

Galliani is also standing firm against the latest record-breaking Real Madrid attempt to lure Kaka towards Spain.

The Bernabeu club met with his representatives this week, as confirmed by Milan, but he is not for sale.

The latest reports from ‘Marca’ suggest the offer has increased to a staggering £54m plus a contract worth £8m per season and with the total image rights handed to the Brazilian.

Ronaldo and his girl loved-up after idyllic island break

post-4484-0-1446085042-28199_thumb.jpg

There was no mistaking the look of love as football hero Ronaldo and girlfriend Maria Beatriz Anthony left French Polynesia after a luxury break in the spellbinding surroundings of the Pacific islands. The dream location had clearly worked its magic on the smitten duo who kissed and cuddled openly as they waited to board a flight to New York and back to the rigours of modern life.

French Polynesia has long attracted its fair share of pleasure-seekers and romantics keen to savour the delights of its pristine beaches and crystal clear waters. Today the islands are still the exotic destination of choice for a jet-set crowd drawn by the air of exclusivity. Locals like to boast that the archipelago receives as many visitors in one year as Hawaii does in ten days.

The AC Milan player took his pretty girlfriend to Bora Bora, the most famous of the 118 isles, which was also the honeymoon destination for Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban. When they visited last year the Hollywood power pair stayed closeted in their super-elegant accommodation in one of the isle's sumptuous resorts.

The main attraction for any holidaymakers who do manage to make it out of their suite is a lagoon three times the size of the land mass, which offers an amazing range of blue and turquoise hues.

To the south east of the island is the Coral Garden, a natural underwater park where brightly coloured fish and graceful manta rays congregate. On land there's also plenty to explore in the way of lush tropical slopes and valleys full of hibiscus blossom.
