You could only really pull off something as outlandish as Jem by doing it as a daft eighties period piece, and by not trying too hard to re-imagine it for today's audiences. Kevork89 Posted May 14, 2015 Share Posted May 14, 2015 Looks like they're trying to appeal to the Pitch Perfect/Step Up/Glee crowd which is cool and all but doesn't fit the original at all.
