Babe Election, Round 1: Kristin Kreuk vs. Bar Refaeli

November 4, 2008 - As Capitol Hill's electoral process gets underway, IGN Stars kicks off this year's real election: Babe Election. It is every citizen of the internet's right to share their opinions and search the farthest reaches of Google for the ultimate eye-candy. We decided to combine the two in an epic Babe-Off, pitting actresses from film and TV against the hottest models and music starlets. And all this objectifying of women is for a good cause – the appointment of a babe commander in chief – Baberaham Lincoln – the highest ranking official in all of Babedom.

Here's how it works: For four weeks, we will roll out 64 prime candidates, March Madness-style, and it's your job to declare us a winner. Vote as often and for as many girls as you like, and make sure to spread the word to friends, family, pets – everyone. The President of Babes is counting on you. Now, let's fire off the first salvo in the Battle for Babedom.

Kristin Kreuk won a part of the WB series Smallville when an "exotic looking" actress was required. Nice work, casting director. And from day one, she had us tripping over ourselves, just like Clark, to tune in every week to see the on-and-off relationship between the Man of Steel and his girl next door flourish and flounder.

Next year, Lana trades in her smile for a permanent badass look as she takes on role of Chun-Li in the new (and hopefully good) Street Fighter movie. Anything to get her out of Smallville and into very tight, very revealing fighting gear is fine by us.

Bar is an Israeli-born model who really goes all out for the title of babe. Also, her beauty is currently being researched as an alternative fix to the energy crisis.

The Bar may be best known for her relationship with Leonardo DiCaprio, but she was also the first Israeli model to ever appear in Sports Illustrated's swimsuit issue. And this year, she was named The Best Body of 2008 by Arena Magazine. It's up to you to decide whether that title is accurate. And worth taking her to the top of Capitol Babe Hill.
