Jack Yang has devoted the last 8 years of his life to acting, modeling and film. This Canadian/American artist, of Taiwanese descent, already established a career in modeling and commercial acting when his love for art lead him behind the camera to Art Center College of Design in Pasadena for Film Directing and Photo. Further studies lead him to the American Academy of Dramatic Arts where he found his true calling. Two years of intensive theatrical training only fueled his passion for knowledge. The day of his graduation from the Academy his professor granted him an instant scholarship to study down at the South Coast Repertory Theater professional conservatory where he honed his skills. He has also appeared in small roles in several (mostly short) films, and provided voices for video games including Syndicate, Need for Speed, and Command and Conquer.

The year 2013 marked his first leading film role, in the aptly titled indie A Leading Man, which centers around a Chinese-American actor, his stereotyped career, and the casting couch.

CARY JOJI FUKUNAGA

 

 

 

 

Cary Joji Fukunaga (born July 10, 1977) is an American film director, writer, and cinematographer. He is known for writing and directing the 2009 film Sin Nombre, the 2011 film Jane Eyre and for directing and executive producing the first season of the HBO series True Detective, for which he won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series.

 

Fukunaga was born in Oakland, California, the son of a third generation Japanese-American father, Anthony Shuzo Fukunaga, born in a Japanese internment camp during World War II,who worked for a generator company and later for the University of California, Berkeley; and a Swedish-American mother, Gretchen May Grufman, who worked as a dental hygienist and later as a history teacher. His parents divorced and remarried, his father to an Argentine woman, and his mother to a Mexican-American.

Fukunaga said that his uncles and aunts are all elementary school teachers or scientists. His family moved around a lot within the San Francisco Bay Area, moving to Berkeley, Albany, Vallejo, Benicia, Sebastopol and back to Oakland.

Fukunaga originally wanted to be a pro snowboarder, but switched to filmmaking in his mid-twenties. He got his start as a camera intern and later applied to film school. He graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz with a Bachelor of Arts in history in 1999, and attended Institut d'études politiques (IEP) de Grenoble. He enrolled in New York University's Tisch School of the Arts Graduate Film Program.

 

Fukunaga lives in New York City, New York. Fukunaga has lived in France, Japan, and Mexico City. He is fluent in French and Spanish. Fukunaga dated actress Michelle Williams briefly in 2011. He counts screenwriter Naomi Foner as a mentor.

He has received several grants, including a USA Rockefeller Foundation Fellowship, the John H. Johnson Film Award / Princess Grace Foundation Fellowship, and a Katrin Cartlidge Foundation bursary.

TELLY LEUNG

 

 

 

 

Telly Leung (born January 3, 1980) is an American actor, singer and songwriter. He is known for his many musical theatre roles on Broadway and his role as Dalton Academy Warbler 'Wes' on Glee.

Telly was born and raised in New York City. He grew up in a traditional Chinese home in Brooklyn. Telly gained admission into New York's prestigious math & science specialized high school, Stuyvesant High School where he graduated in 1998. It was at Stuyvesant that Telly seriously pursued theater as a break from physics and calculus, performing in high school productions of Pippin, Guys & Dolls and West Side Story. Telly's first professional job was as a featured performer in THE WB-TEAM 11, doing live and television promotional work for the WB Channel 11. After high school, Telly was admitted to Carnegie Mellon University's School of Drama, where he received most of his formal training in acting, singing, and dance. He is openly gay.

In the fall of 2002, Telly made his Broadway debut in the revival of Flower Drum Song, starring Lea Salonga, as a member of the ensemble and an understudy for Wang Ta. Telly later worked on Broadway with Sondheim in Roundabout Theatre's revival of Pacific Overtures in 2005.

After Pacific Overtures, Telly originated the role of Boq in the Chicago company of the Stephen Schwartz musical Wicked. He moved back to New York in 2006 to take part in the Paper Mill Playhouse production of Godspell. Telly then returned to Broadway and performed as The Waiter in the final run of RENT.

In November 2011, he began starring on Broadway in the Godspell revival at the Circle in the Square Theatre in New York City, New York.

Telly was named one of twelve Faces to Watch in 2012: Dance, Theater, Architecture and Art by the Los Angeles Times.

Telly was a featured performer in the world premiere of Allegiance: A New American Musical at the Old Globe Theatre in San Diego in September 2012, with co-stars Lea Salonga and George Takei.

In 2014, Leung appeared in a new play, The World of Extreme Happiness, by Frances Ya-Chu Cowhig, at Goodman Theatre in Chicago; and in the co-production with Goodman Theatre at the Manhattan Theatre Club in New York City in February 2015.

In October, 2015, Leung returned to Broadway in Allegiance: A New American Musical at the Longacre Theatre in New York with co-stars George Takei and Lea Salonga.

PIOLO PASCUAL

 

 

Piolo Pascual, born at 8:46 PM on January 12, 1977 at Ospital ng Maynila Medical Center in Malate, Manila, is the youngest son of Amelia "Amy" Nonato Pascual, and Philip Victoriano Pascual who is half-Spanish and half-German. Piolo's father was the son of Harold Herzig, a full-blooded German, and his Filipina wife with Spanish descent, Aurora Victoriano. Harold Herzig, however, died while Piolo's father was young, which led to the remarriage of Piolo's grandmother to a Pascual.

While growing up, Piolo enjoyed a close bond with his siblings—Chiqui, Paulette, Pam, Choi, and Patricia—despite their own father's early death. His father was a casting director for international films that are shot in the Philippines, though Piolo can't recall if it affected his ambition on becoming an actor, ramp model or a performer. He lived an ordinary life; he went to school and spent time on outings and celebrations with his family. Piolo attended elementary and high school at St. Francis School in Santa Ana, Manila. When he was in 5th Grade, Piolo joined the school theater group, Teatro Ni Kiko, where he was introduced to the world of theater and acting.

While he was in third year high school, Piolo started appearing in That's Entertainment, a popular teen variety show that aired in the 1990s. He eventually left That's Entertainment, however, to get into college full-time, studying at the University of Santo Tomas (UST), where he studied AB General Education. He later shifted to Physical Therapy in preparation for his immigration to the U.S. Around 1996, however, Piolo had to put his studies and career plans on hold due to his imminent migration to the U.S.

DEAN JOHN-WILSON

 

 

Dean John-Wilson (born June 5, 1989) is a British actor who is currently playing the title role in Disney's Aladdin. During 2008, he went on Britain's Got Talent; John-Wilson was a semi-finalist.

ARTHUR NORY OYAKAWA MARIANO

 

 

Arthur Mariano (born 18 September 1993) is a Brazilian artistic gymnast and a member of the national team. He participated in the 2015 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships, placing fourth in the horizontal bar and 12th all-around.  He won the bronze medal in floor exercise at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.  He was speculated to be romantically involved with American gymnast Aly Raisman which brought him media attention, but the rumours turned out to be false, with Raisman and Mariano both clarifying that they are just close friends who met beforehand at meets. Rohit Khandelwal (born 19 August 1989) is an Indian model, actor, television personality, winner of Mr India 2015, and the first ever Asian to be crowned Mister World in the 2016 contest.

He got his first television advertisement break in a jewelery advertisement with Kareena Kapoor. Later he appeared in other advertisements too.

He made his television debut by appearing in Episode 76 of Yeh Hai Aashiqui, an Indian television series that presented dramatization of love stories and aired on Bindass. Later he portrayed the role of Bhuvan, the leader of handloom weavers on the television series ‘’Million Dollar Girl’’, which was televised by Channel V.
