I don't think this is the right issue but it is one of maybe only four possibilities. This one is from Elle Japan May 1999 and I think this has a better chance of being the right issue. I remember orange more than I remember purple (I had the magazine only as long as it took me to getting around to extracting the one interior photo that I wanted). I got these from the international covers archive - I have to go back and make a definitive final list (all covers are not there and I think Thailand and Taiwan at the very least may have used this same cover). In the end, I will need to find these issues, have them looked at to see if my photo is there and then get a scan or at worst a color photocopy of my photo, with possible language barriers or copyright issues coming into play. I just hope I don't end up coming all this way for nothing. I may even have to hire someone on the ground in Beijing, Tokyo, Bangkok or wherever to help me with this if that ends up being the only way.
