Michael*
I'm suffering from such an acute case of 'anticipation fatigue' just now, that I'm beginning to think it's all a ruse, and that there is no movie.

Michael*
Without wishing to engage too much in idle speculation, I wouldn't be surprised if we see Joseph Gordon-Levitt's character as a stand-in Batman for at least part of the movie. The trailers hint at some kind of incapacitation for Bruce Wayne and I see a little of Christian Bale's facial structure in Joseph.

And Bruce wayne is obviously injured in the trailer, and walks with a cane. I believe that he is injured from the start of the film. This film has been screened in several US cities (NYC was last week) and so far, the reception is very positive. I don't know how much of it is hype and promotion, but there are claims that it is better than 1 and 2.
Michael*
I guess it goes without saying that they'll have to go some to equal the second movie, but for what it's worth I believe they've really nailed Bane as a character. Menacing, imposing, calculating and just generally spot on. The showdown between he and the returning Batman is going to be absolutely chilling. Additional: one of the best things my eyes have seen in a while - the movie trailer recreated using old clips from the Batman animated series. Cult Icon
^ ahaha, interesting clips Anyway, when checking showtimes, I came across something very funny. The whole multiplex is playing batman @ 12:0X AM on the 19th, all 19+ screens. "Dark Knight Trilogy IMAX Jan. 19" Runtime: 8hr 45 min Adult: $25 Showtime: 6:00 PM, 12:03 AM There are individuals that are so excited about this film that they're willing to ruin their Thursday/friday/weekend schedules just to see it a day early....LOL! And watch Batman movies 9 hours straight....and then finish up at 9 AM in the morning...!!!
Michael*
^Thanks, I hadn't seen it until now. It probably sounds like an odd thing to say, but I actually find Tom Hardy easier to understand as Bane than as his character in 'Inception'. Is it just me though, or is the dubbing a little off in parts? Maybe it's just in the prologue and not the final film but at the moment, I get the impression that Bane's voice is 'on top' of everything else as opposed to being a part of the mix, if that makes any sense. Michael*
^If memory serves his character wasn't given a great deal of backstory. In the real world, he was some kind of conman/forger who'd worked with the others before, and in the dream sequences he was good at disguising himself and mimicking others. Michael*
There certainly are a few strong hints that a 'redistribution of wealth' storyline will take place at some point in the movie. [speculation] It could be that Bane and Selina loosely share that particular cause until the outright destruction of Gotham City is exposed as Bane's real objective. Something to do with Ra's Al Ghul perhaps? [/speculation]
Cult Icon
^I really don't know where the League of shadows plays into the story, but I think Bane may be associated with them somehow.TDKR is at 94% on RT professional critics- 29 positive reviews, 2 negative reviews. Very good..
Cult Icon
Trailer 5#hmmph...I believe it's meant to emphasize that part 3 is a genuine 'part 3...' A few new clips.Bane: "We will destroy Gotham..."
