Een weekend dat eigenlijk al op donderdagavond begon met een bezoek aan Fashion Rocks in Londen. “Tijdens dit evenement brachten twaalf ontwerpers outfits in die geveild werden voor het goede doel The Prince’s Trust (opgericht door Prince Charles). Ik was uitgenodigd om de kleding te tonen van Valentino, Chanel en Stella McCartney”, vertelt Anne-Marie. Terwijl de modellen de mini-modeshows liepen, begeleidden Alicia Keys en de Sugababes de meiden met een optreden. Prince Charles heeft ze niet gezien, maar Uma Thurman, Gwyneth Paltrow en Armani waren er zeker wel. “Ik heb eigenlijk niet zoveel met celebrities, als ik ze in het echt ontmoet, dan zijn ze zo gewoon, dus heb ik niet zo gauw de neiging om ze aan te spreken. En gewoon gezellig kletsen. Als ik alleen een zaterdagavond in New York doorbreng, zit ik het liefst uren in Barnes and Noble, dat is een boekwinkel met een geweldige formule. Je kunt er heerlijk gaan zitten lezen en een Starbucks koffie drinken. En anders zit ik thuis achter de computer of lees ik een boek. Het klinkt misschien saai, maar ik hou nou eenmaal van lezen. Ik ben één keer in de vier jaar dat ik in New York woon naar een club geweest. Het is gewoon niks voor mij.
