hope1 Posted February 10, 2011 Share Posted February 10, 2011 there to me is a value of sexist behaviour that is unfair to judge him by, I have seen a great amount of his work and nobody so far has mentioned his work with men kabosh and son of bob, he is labeled as luring young girls into things they dont want to do, just curious if you are going to say he exploits women, then should not say he is equal with men..... do I agree with his personal habits, not my call to judge, really name some of the great people of this century who wre not on some sort of drug or had addiction, freud cocaine, poe , opiates, really the list is long.. the truth is despite for his persoal habits, he produces art, gets it on time, and the pirelli calendar allllll those girls were dyeing to be in that calendar, and lets be honest here he is not hiding things here, sombody had to take the picture, being published , internet, his diary is nothing but self admisson, he does not apologize, he does not make excuses, did anyone here about a photographer sally mann, I hope I got that rite she was a mother who was a great photographer and pictured her children in there freedom of being a child, and also when you are a chlid thre is part that mimics adults, there is one who has a ciggaette in her mouth, she was damned for child pornography, her own family published ,people... pedophiles or sex offenders do not advertise, her body of work is amazing, and eventually she got cleared from criminal charges, diane arbus, for her beautiful and haunting images of metnal illness Robert mappelthorpe much like terry, got shut down for a picture of a freinds little girl who you could see under her dress, and his male sexual pictures.... Either the girl is young and dumb or an obscure unknown who will never have a name in fashion. IMO he needs to be stamped out. One of which is the huge disparity in life experience between Terry and his "victims". The large majority of those models are young women who are just starting out and they are in an environment completely controlled by him. Bearing in mind that he's worked with some of the highest profile people around, if there is some truth to these allegations (many of which are really quite shocking, although I think we have to remember that they are just allegations), then what are the chances of some 18-year-old girl from the back of beyond and expect her to be the one to go "actually no, this is wrong"?
