Imran Awan arrest coverage: CBS 37 seconds, ABC and NBC ZERO

Gotta love the corrupt, Democrat media complex. A scandal such as Imran Awan and Debbie Wasserman-Schultz would be gold for these corrupt media outfits if Imran Awan worked for Republicans on the Hill. But since he is a Democrat and worked for other Democrats (AND has ties to the Clinton Crime Family,) the media just doesn’t seem interested in covering the story. So far, CBS has devoted a whopping 37 seconds to the story on their monrning “news” shows. ABC and NBC? Absolutely ZERO coverage.

King chose not to credit the intrepid work of The Daily Caller but instead Politico, one of the rare liberal media outlets to give this story the light of day: “Politico reports a former aide to Congresswoman Deborah Wassermann Schultz was arrested trying to leave the country. 37-year-old Imran Awan was detained at Washington Dulles International Airport on Monday.”

“He is accused of attempting to defraud the Congressional Federal Credit Union by taking out a home equity loan on a rental property. He allegedly tried to have those funds transferred to Pakistan. He pleaded not guilty yesterday. The office of congresswoman Wassermann Schultz fired him after the arrest,” King added.

Hysterically, King concluded with a comment from Awan’s attorney to CBS News that the criminal probes and allegations swirling around Awan are because of “anti-Muslim bigotry.”

As The Daily Caller has reported for months, Awan and his family have provided I.T. services to not just Wasserman Schultz but prominent congressional Democrats across key committees such as the House Intelligence Committee.

The news outlet also found that Awan and his brother secretly took $100,000 of Iraqi money, owed money to an Iraqi politician who’s been linked to Hezbollah, and possibly kept their stepmother in “captivity” for better access to offshore money.

@Cult Icon I thought you might get a LUL out of this

Marxist group disbands because members were too rich, white

A Marxist student group at Swarthmore College disbanded itself earlier this year after realizing that its members were too rich and too white to be real commies.
A farewell letter from a former member complains that the group's founders where "entirely white, with the exception of one person of color," and that none of them came from "low-income and/or working class backgrounds."

A Marxist student group at Swarthmore College disbanded itself earlier this year after realizing that its members were too rich and too white to be real commies.

According to screenshots confidentially provided to Campus Reform by an individual with access to the group’s private Facebook page, the demise of the Swarthmore Anti-Capitalist Collective (SACC) came in the wake of a farewell letter from a member who had decided the group could never be an effective proponent of “unproblematized anticapitalist politics” due to its “history of abuse, racism, and even classism.”

“From my understanding SACC disbanded because they realized the makeup and tactics of their group was at odds with their espoused principles,” Swarthmore Conservative Society President Gilbert Guerra told Campus Reform. “Their main support base was middle-upper class white kids who enjoy jogging.”

The farewell letter corroborates Guerra’s understanding, asserting that “SACC’s fundamental failure” was that “at its formation, it was made up of entirely white, with the exception of one person of color*, students,” and to make matters worse, “not one of [the founding members] are from low-income and/or working class backgrounds.”

Arguing that “low-income people of color should never be an afterthought in a group whose politics supposedly focus on their liberation,” the author then went on to accuse SACC of having a “history of abuse, racism, and even classism that was never adequately addressed or recognized despite constantly being brought up as an issue.”

The screenshots provided to Campus Reform do not include dates, but the SACC Facebook page suggests that the group may have folded at some point in late-March or April. The page has seen no activity since March 26, prior to which posts had been added on a fairly regular basis.

Campus Reform reached out to other former SACC members for their take on the group’s disbandment, but none were willing to comment.

Guerra agreed strongly with the letter-writer’s assessment that SACC was ineffective, telling Campus Reform that “SACC didn’t do anything noteworthy during their existence,” and had little impact on campus discourse.

“If anything,” he said, “I think the legacy of that particular group will turn out to be motivating some apathetic students to become involved in the Conservative Society.”

As for the future of Marxist groups on campus—which the SACC letter optimistically predicted would provide a “future for anti-capitalist organizing on this campus”—Guerra said that he expects there will be a “new Maoist group on campus in the fall,” but didn’t seem terribly concerned about its prospects.

Saying that such a group is “a foregone conclusion” because there are many leftist students at Swarthmore who want to actively “resist during the Trump Presidency,” Guerra noted that the only question now “is whether this new group will be any more sustainable that [sic] the past couple of leftist groups that have splintered and fizzled out.”

A true cult classic. :chicken:

i've seen the memes for a long time, but I haven't actually watched the whole thing back to back.

The story behind the production of the movie was that of an eccentric millionaire (eastern european) that financed the production and marketing of his own movie.  But he seemed to have traits of autism didn't understand human emotions/social interaction.  So the final product was bizarre as hell.

http://www.npr.org/2017/07/27/539714033/black-producers-hbo-defend-upcoming-series-confederate

It may be the most explosive response ever to a TV show that hasn't shot a frame, doesn't have a script, or even a plot written yet.

All we know is HBO's Confederate will be a TV show set in a modern America where the Confederacy never lost the Civil War and slavery still exists. After days at the center of the controversy, Executive Producer Nichelle Tramble Spellman says the experience has been like getting "a crash course in crazy."

That painful education began last week, after HBO issued a press release announcing Confederate as the next series under development by David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, the two executive producers of the cable channel's hit series Game of Thrones.

According to the release, Confederate will be set "in an alternate timeline, where the southern states have successfully seceded from the Union, giving rise to a nation in which slavery remains legal and has evolved into a modern institution." Emailed to journalists just a few days after HBO aired the widely-anticipated first episode from Game of Thrones new season, the announcement sparked lots of coverage and bitter criticism.

Writing for the New York Times, Roxane Gay declared "I Don't Want to Watch Slavery Fan Fiction." The Daily Beast called it "white nonsense." And social media posts by the hundreds snarked at a pair of white, male producers from Game of Thrones, a show long criticized for its lack of diversity and depictions of sexualized violence, tackling such an incendiary topic.

:banghead:

Seriously, WTF?

Black Americans should really stop to play the "I once was a slave " card because it's getting old already. No one is asking to forgive the slavery atrocity but all these "racist" accusations and the "Slavery Fan Fiction" is ridiculous. If that show is going to be on HBO in the future I would watch it and I am not a fan of slavery, thank you very much!

And the racist & sexist comments about the white male producers & "white" nonsense are OK ?

Can we call this entire story a "black nonsense" without being called a racist?
