Did he state his motive ? Is it just because they pay him higher? Youtube is rotting atm because of the unbalanced copyright system (where the burden of proof lies with the accused - WTF?), the fact that they prioritize big news outlets and that sometimes their policies kinda look like thought-policing. Don't know if YouTube was on his ass for his guests, drug and language usage, theories, etc. For all we know he could be taking less money for more creative freedom. Keeping the right dose of mystery is what makes good writing. Interestingly, characters who lie about their pasts all the time are among the best ones.You never know if what they say is true, which makes them even more interesting.
