F*cking disgusting! and so disrespectful

Blind Second World War veteran, 92, is knocked down and injured while trying to stop attackers tearing down the American flag flying outside his home

  • A 92-year-old World War II veteran was pushed to the ground by a flag thief
  • Kaufman resident Howard Banks  said he heard someone trying to take his flag
  • Upon approaching them he was pushed, sustaining a twisted knee and bruising
  • Banks' flag, which he salutes everyday, has been the target of thieves before

Mr. Banks, thank you for your service.

This was on our local news,  they reported it, and also the follow up story.   Some local Marines heard about the attack, and with their aid, Mr. Banks got a new set of flags, and is going to be flown up to DC to see the WWII Memorial.
