They are great movies with a great story which has it's own mythology behind it. And as a side note, the music and the use of it is so good!!! But if you find it boring (same as you find boring Game of Thrones, which has somewhat similar characteristics on the biggest picture) I guess it's just not your thing. But over hyped?... nah.
