You don’t have my permission to post these images online - if I wanted them online I would have done it myself

If you had read the post, you would have realized that the photo isn't mine, but a fan that posted it on Twitter without any filter (so it is public access) and you retweeted in "your" personal account ... this makes no sense, anyone who has internet and see the account can see the photo.

i shouldn't have to contact the admin, you all should take responsibility for yourselves. And all of you should realize that by putting images online that am specifically NOT putting online myself, you are taking away from my business and making it impossible to do more shoots and videos.

instead of sitting there ripping me apart physically and telling each other your made up reasons for the things i do why don't you think for yourselves about the fact that i am a human being on the other side of these images.

This will be the LAST shoot of this nature, there are 500 calendars left. But hey why support the models? it doesn't matter anyway that i did this entire thing myself for you, carting the boxes around sticking labels. SO SO SO sad. You'll just move onto the next "object" and do the same to her.

Well in fact that's the way works the internet like i already told you. I understand your statement, and i respect it. But the truth is that when you buy something, here your calendar, you can do whatever you want with it, even sharing it online. It's true for your art, but the movies, the musics, the video-games, etc... too. The question is matter of legality. I believe your pictures are protected by a copyright, isn't it.

As a fan from almost the first hour, and knowing i am just a fan among the others too, i want to express publicly my own disappointment regarding your behavior with your fan community, or your simple followers. I think since some time already, your personal feelings and own questioning overshadow your professionalism as a model, and your own career as well.

I deeply think your own disappointment regarding the fashion industry and more largely the showbusiness create an amount of negativity that you reject on your admirators. I personally don't find this legit, especially when you enjoyed that system for a long time in the past.

I feel personally pretty "hurted" by the words you used above. Models are not objects for me. That terminology is not the good one to find again the right track for your success like a model, and a person.

If you are unable to see why this has upset me, and the degree to which i actually care, then that is your fault. I am heart sore, I have loved every fan, follower, every shoot. I have poured my entire life into this career and the pictures i have made. I have sacrificed everything to do this, i literally left home with just $100 to my name. So don't you tell me that you are ""hurt"By me being upset over stolen content.

Don't you ever question my professionalism as a model either, i have worked my ass off for everything i have ever gotten and every client i have ever worked with. I have done far more than any other girl would do to sustain this.

You have absolutely no idea what goes on in my life and the amount of things  have had to over come just to be happy each day. So excuse me when i put all my efforts into creating something fulfilling and something thats my own. Where i get to choose the pictures, the editing, the styling the design and i finally get to have the right to how my image is presented to you all. Finally i found a way to have my image released on MY terms, that i can have some level of control over the way i am presented to the world.

These calendars were important to me, to create something by myself for my fans was important for me, being personal and doing the marketing was important to me. It saddens me that you can't see HOW much love had to go into this just to make it a reality.

If you choose to no longer follow me, my career and my future endeavors thats up to you all, BUT just for one moment sit behind your screen and ask yourself whether a person who didnt care about their followers would go to the efforts that i have. i highly doubt it.

Im sorry that you mistake my passion for negativity. My hopes for 2018 is to hopefully share my challenges and help some people out there in the world, to get real and talk about stuff that actually matters, because i am someone who actually cares.

See, that's the negativity i'm talking about. You're judging me while you don't know who i am. You should be proud of all what you've done. And not using your past, or the roughness you went through your career to make feel bad a good fan of you. As you maybe noticed it, i never shared the contend you were not agree to share. I always respected you for what you are, no matter the up and down. EVERY models work their asses off very hard to achieve their dreams. For some it's just a little bit less or more difficult. Modeling is very hard. The job itself is hard, the environment in which you are working is hard, the whole industry must be hard, but it's the same for everybody. For that, you have all my admiration and respect.

I am personally not arguing, but only being honest.

Then, you are saying those who posted the pictures from your calendar "stole" it ... In my opinion, if they were able to share it, that mean they bought it. You may be agree or not on that, but that's a fact.

I am not judging you, i know you have been a decent and good followers and person as we have interacted many times on social media. However my point is that just because a person buys something doesn't give them the right to distribute it. Not only that but it devalues the calendars and images for those people who spent their money to buy something special.

Believe me when i say i spend my whole day thinking how best to create and give more.

If people want to devalue their purchase, make it impossible for me to create more content, and ultimately take the joy and happiness out of creating my own products for you.... then thats up to them i guess.

Yes.  And if that is the case, you can buy yourself time enough to realize that your having a bad moment

Im not having a "bad moment" i am pouring my heart out to you all so that you will understand how much i care about the projects that i make.

Yes maybe you can judge me and say bad things if you like, but honestly i am open, i am invested in the work that i do, and i am passionate about building out projects on my own. I hope that you guys can appreciate that i am so willing to come on here and talk directly about how i feel.

The work i do and the work i intend to do is because i LOVE being able to interact with the people out there, I cherish the career I've had believe me, But there is SO much more i want to be able to do and give.

I hope that you will all read this and realize just how much i care about the things that i do....

To take a concrete example, my brother is writer, and went through the same kind of issue with the ibooks, and there's nothing particular to do. Only to accept it, more or less, to make abstraction of it, and to continue working on your own art. No matter what is happening.

Making such calendars is a great idea, and both are very beautiful i find. But for exemple, a digital format, would have helped to sale it even more. Many are not buying it because the only hard copy format, and higher price. But once again, it's only my opinion.

You are a wonderful model, i personaly enjoyed every second i spent in looking for new content from you, and then updating this thread dedicated to you. I find a bit "off" to come, again and again, to complain from this way. You deserve for yourself and your work, and your career, a better treatment.

You should go ahead, as long as you can, spoil us with your stunning images, and ignore what you can andle. That may sound crual, but the job is crual, the life is crual, as you know. But all that is only my opinion.

I believe the laws are clear that purchasing an image that is copyright protected gives you the right to own that image yourself, but NOT to distribute it as Gen says.  It can be referenced WITH Gen's permission, but NOT for profit, UNLESS, again, Gen gives permission.  The unfortunate problem in this situation is if it is shown to one person on the internet, it's like it's shown to everyone which dilutes the value of her work. It isn't like you purchased the calendar and showed it to a few friends privately, which I imagine Gen might like, but instead it is shared with a broad network of disassociated people certainly lacking privacy.

It is certainly rare for a model or an agency to come onto this site and advocate for their rights as creators of their art, and it should be pretty clear how earnest Gen is about her feelings on this matter.  Her pleas seem genuine. Just out of respect and as fans we ought to rethink this.

Oh, by the way, if you're still reading, Gen, you just went way up in my eyes.

This is the last things i can say today as i have to get back to shipping this stuff before it gets too late.

I made it hardcopy only as opposed to digital because I wanted people to receive something tangible in their hands, i wanted to give options of personalization because thats important to me.

I didnt do a nude calendar again because that was something special that Derek and i created and had worked on doing for a few years. To me it was an intimate look at the relationship we had and quite frankly the way that he looked at me, and the way i looked back at him. perhaps thats not the answer you want to hear. We had worked on many shoots and have so much amazing content that i had wanted to put out. but we broke up, and now i have all these shoots just sitting there wasted (for now i guess). literally years of work. Which if you were paying attention you will know that this broke my heart completely.

i decided to do color because people didnt seem to like the artistic nature of the black and white images. and i don't want to put nudes out in color. also Facebook restricts me from advertising, in fact i can't even purchase ads to push this swimsuit calendar out to my followers because they say its "inappropriate".

I appreciate the support of those followers who have been with me from the start, i appreciate the new people who have joined my journey along the way.

I hope that you will continue this path with me and see where it goes, I'm sorry if this conversation has made you uncomfortable, But ..... this is who i am, i shoot straight with my friends and I'm shooting straight with you guys. My intention is to continue being upfront and honest, to get real about things and to learn about what matters to you guys in your own lives. Maybe I'm not just a model anymore... perhaps i have changed... just being a picture is no longer enough for me. That is why i do the work to produce my own things... because i want more than to just sit castings waiting for someone to put me in their shoots. i didnt want to be at the mercy of other people anymore. sometimes looking at myself photoshopped, i didnt even recognize the person looking back at me... thats sad.

there is SO much more i can say, and so much more i can reveal about how things actually are or were, but perhaps thats a conversation for another time.

May I make a suggestion, Gen? You seem to have a lot you'd like to say, but I think, as much as I like writing,  it is the wrong format for this.  Please consider a vlog as a way to communicate with your fanbase, as I think your emotions will be more clear for all to see, and less likely to be misinterpreted especially by those for whom English is not a first language.
