Mad Max Meltdown! Tom Hardy's Method Acting Driving Co-star Charlize Theron Crazy!

By Jon Boon - Radar Reporter

There’s no love lost between Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron on the set of Mad Max: Fury Road, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.

The British method actor has been driving the South-African born Oscar winner crazy by constantly talking to himself during breaks in filming the remake of the 70s cult classic, an on-set source claims.

Charlize, the source says, just can’t believe Tom has to stay in character when they’re not filming and thinks he’s a “weirdo!”

“Charlize and Tom are just not getting on together,” the source told RadarOnline.com. “Professionally, they are doing a wonderful job, but in-between takes Tom likes to stay in character and is constantly talking to himself and mumbling things.

“Charlize has tried to talk to him during breaks in filming but he shuts himself off from the rest of the cast.

“She has the ability to switch off when she’s not filming, and can immediately turn into her character as soon the camera’s rolling.

“However, he prefers to isolate himself and Charlize thinks he’s a weirdo! But I don’t think that bothers him, he just does his own thing, the source revealed.

Mad Max: Fury Road has already been besieged with problems, Warner Bros. reportedly sent out superstar producer Denise Di Novi to Namibia to oversee production after the project ran over budget and behind schedule.

George Miller, the director at the helm of the big-budget reboot, has suffered similar fate before; his last film Happy Feet Two also ran over budget and ended up flopping in the movie theaters.

It was enough to cause Warner Bros. to panic and make sure a close eye is kept on the maverick director.

The fourth movie in the famed Mad Max series, which made a star of Mel Gibson, is expected to wrap next month.

It stars Hardy in Gibson’s role, alongside Theron, Brit stars Nicholas Hoult, Rosie Huntington-Whitely and Zoe Kravitz.

Things are slow on TH news. Except for a couple random pics from Namibia, Christian grey rumors and the article above, it's been dreadfully slow of news. Doesn't anyone have a camera phone where he is and they can take pics or give us an update on the film!? Come on.

Looks like he will be in London in November. Here's the news:

Tom Hardy will take part in a signing in central London on the 17th November, alongside Prometheus star Noomi Rapace! Tom has been busy in Namibia filming Mad Max: Fury Road with Charlize Theron, Nicholas Hoult, Zoe Kravitz, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Riley Keough, but he'll be back in his home city this month for the event.

He and Noomi are both cover stars of independent magazine BLAG, run by sisters Sarah J. and Sally A. Edwards, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. The actors will both appear at Rough Trade East on 17th November to sign copies between 12noon and 2pm.

There won't be any wristbands for the event, so it will be first come first served. We'll see you in the queue...

Tom Hardy Confirmed to Join Leonardo DiCaprio in ‘The Revenant’

Tom Hardy is officially set to join Leonardo DiCaprio in New Regency’s Western “The Revenant.”

Hardy had been linked to the project for several weeks but needed to work out his very busy schedule before fully committing.

The duo last worked together on Christopher Nolan’s “Inception.”

Will Poulter (“We’re the Millers”) is also in negotiations to join the cast of the drama with Alejandro González Iñárritu directing.

Pic will shoot this fall.

Based on the Michael Punke novel, “The Revenant” centers on a 1820s frontiersman on a path of vengeance against those who left him for dead after a bear mauling. Mark L. Smith and Inarritu penned the adaptation.

Anonymous Content’s Steve Golin, Keith Redmon and David Kanter will produce along with Inarritu, Arnon Milchan and James Skotchdopole. New Regency is co-financing the film with RatPac.

Paul Green, Brett Ratner and James Packer are exec producing.

Hardy was most recently seen in the Steven Knight’s acclaimed indie “Locke.” He is repped by CAA, Lindy King at United Agents and attorney Jason Sloane of Sloane Offer Weber & Dern.
