I looked into it and I think that they are mistaken. I think that Kate is with her two sisters, her brother plus two other men. I've gotten the feeling that she might be more conservative than Hollywood in general. But it could be just about the military. If misogynists and racists wanted to claim her on their side, I don't think they were right.
