My mother agent is Chantale Nadeau. In Toronto (my home town) I’m represented by Sutherland Models, Specs in Montreal, FORD in New York, Los Angeles, Miami and Chicago, Leni’s in London, Body and Soul in Hamburg and ICE-Models in Milan. How did you start modelling? Few years ago I sent my photos to wonderful Chantale Nadeau, who is my “mother-agent” and a wonderful friend since then. She got me started by setting up a photoshoot with Owen Bruce and sending me out to see the agencies. I was very excited to join Sutherland Models, from my first appointment they have been one of the most caring and hard working agencies. What is your favorite place you ever traveled to for modelling? There were a lot of places that I really liked. But Bali (Indonesia) has probably been my favorite place. Bali’s amazingly beautiful nature made me fall in love with it. We mostly worked and stayed at the resort and had the best of it. But we also had a chance to get outside and see the local life and meet with local people.They were very warm and welcoming. What is the hardest thing in the modelling world? Modelling is not hard. In fact, most of it is easy. You may feel exhausted from being on the run all the time: flights and time zone differences, when you return home at midnight after 10hr flight and next morning you have to be at another shoot at 7am looking great..but being in demand gives me an additional energy boost. Overall – I can’t complain – it’s all worth it! What stereotypes about modelling you hate to hear from people? Models don’t eat. I am asked this question quite often – “Do you eat?”. “Roughly 1095 times a year, excluding snacks” – I tend to answer sometimes. Of course it’s a joke. How else you can answer this question. Everyone needs to eat well. Word “well” does not mean a lot. Some people think we live of salads only. That is not true. To build a great body shape – you have to eat well but still watch what you are eating and most importantly workout every so often. What is your best modelling moment? There are so many, but I feel like everyday is “the best modelling moment” because I am given the privilege to do what I love. And I will always remember the day when I got signed with my first ever modelling agency ( Sutherland Models) it was a great start! Did you have any awkward situation on set? Or funny moments? If so, tell us about it! It happened on one of the trips down south. We were shooting swimsuits and just before the very first shot of the day I put on sweet-fruity-scented body lotion. As soon as I got on set, lotion smell attracted tons of flies, bees, and other insects. It was terrible, they were all over me. At first, I kept doing my job trying not to show it but then it was very noticeable. I had to run and take a quick shower to wash it all off, while the whole crew and two other models were waiting for me to come back. I was embarrassed , but at least, I made them laugh which set a good mood for the rest of the shoot. We had a good laugh at the end of the day as well. What are your other interests other than modelling? I have a Computer Programmer Diploma. I never had a chance to work as a software developer but I used to work as a graphic designer. Since then, I am always interested in new technologies and cool apps. Dancing also has been a big part of my life. I started professional Ballroom and Latin dancing when I was 5 and did it competitively for 15 years. These days I’m taking French lessons and learning how to play a guitar. What is usually in your purse? The usual: phone – iPhone!!!, wallet, lip balm – sweet cherry flavour, gum – same flavour, keys and hair elastic. Your favorite beauty product? DDF Ultra-Lite Oil-Free Moisturizing Dew and Glow Lotion by The Soap & Glory Cosmetics. How would you describe your style? What I wear varies a lot from day to day. One day I might feel like wearing a lace top with a skirt and the next I’ll wear a leather jacket with boyfriend jeans and boots. My style changes depending on the mood, weather and occasion. I am not running after brand names but have to admit – most of the good clothing comes with known label on it. So to describe it in one word, I would say – “different”. Favorite food? Love Sushi. I even make them myself. But like I said earlier I try to eat deferent types of food that my body requires. My favorite food is a good food, therefore, I like going to good restaurants Do you exercise? If so, what do you do? Yes I do. I play volleyball, dance and like all sorts of classes at my gym. Regular gym activities such as running and lifting weights can get boring. I prefer cycling in the summer time and cross-country skiing in our Great Canadian Winter. What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done? Slamming on the front brake of a motorcycle, flying over it , getting my M license an hour later and then flying out for a job in Mexico with bruised knee the day after. What place do you dream of visiting? I own a little piece of land on the moon so hope to see it with my own eyes one day Locally – I would love to go to Australia and Egypt.
